In my opinion, dili lang Cebu as independent state, pero pwede na rin as part of Visayas Republic.

A Cebu Republic is a better option than the never ending saga of ousting
presidents, rallies, EDSA, military coup, actors turn politician, and etc.

Secession heals all!

President Duterte has already come out with a Davao Flag and shows it to the public in their plaza.

Cebu as of this time has no Flag of its own. No acting President.

A bisayan cebu national anthem?

I already have one hero in mind Lapu-Lapu.

I think we should move the capital to Cebu, because having the nation's capital in the same metro-area as the biggest financial & commercial discrict is a recipe for disaster. New York and Washington DC's separation keep greedy politics separate from greedy businesses, at least physically away. Same with Shanghai and Bejing, or Dehli and New Dehli, or Toronto and Ottawa Canada. To much greed bunched up into one extremely crowded metropolitan area. Moving the capital to Cebu would also help shift the balance of power

i think that would be impossible to happen, in the first place cebu is too small that we can not provide a place where we put the arm forces....we dont even have big business establishment for the investors and most of all many crimes now a days that is rampant in cebu robbery, snatching etc. of that aspect investors were having doubt to have a business here..

Instead of voicing out secession, why not Cebu be the heart of the nation?! I always believe that its wrong for Manila to be the capital of every vital sector of the Nation: it's the Political, Business, and even entertainment capital! Perhaps, it's about time for the seat of power to move down here because it appears that generally, Visayans and Mindanawans are more sensible that our nothern brethren. But that's beside the point-- all i want to say is let us go beyond our island mentalities, bridge our differences, and choose unity.

Easier said than done, true but wanting it could be a good start for everyone.

Right bro'

I don't think land area is the primary basis, you should consider the

income, population etc. Imagine Vatican City, Singapore, Hongkong and

Brunei.

I am from Mactan Island, we're part of Cebu. We had Mactan Air Base

and International Airport. MEPZ I and MEPZ II with a million peso tax

waste income forwarded in Manila. Why? Corruption sa atong mga

( Kulisaw ) na political leaders. In case Cebu will become independent,

we can provide great soldiers and great pilots to defend our beloved "

Cebu "!.

I love Cebu!,....

Politicians in mindanao seem serious about "Republic of Mindanao" except one who
is from Zamboanga.

Any news on what the Flag of Mindanao looks like?

Who needs a corrupt Army for Cebu Republic?Â* Here's a list of countries without a standing army one of them is Costa Rica with an annual GDP of US$37.97 billion and GDP per capita of US$9,600.00

This is a list of countries that do not maintain an army.

Andorra - defense is provided jointly by France and Spain.
Costa Rica - the constitution forbids a standing military, however the National Guard has military units within it.
Greenland- defense is the responsibility of Denmark. see Military of Greenland
Haiti - But the rebels have demanded its reestablishment. The National Police maintains some military units.
Iceland - Iceland is defended by the US-manned Icelandic Defense Force
Kiribati - defense assisted by Australia and New Zealand.
Liechtenstein - defense and Foreign Affairs by Switzerland.
Marshall Islands - defense is the responsibility of the United States of America.
Micronesia - defense is the responsibility of the United States of America.
Monaco - defense is the responsibility of France.
Nauru - defense is the responsibility of Australia.
Palau - defense is the responsibility of the United States of America.
Panama - Some units within the Public Force (Police, Coast Guard, Air Service and Institutional Security) have limited warfare capabilities. Defense of the Panama Canal may be undertaken by the United States in case of armed conflict.
San Marino - defense is the responsibility of Italy
Vatican City - defense is the responsibility of Italy, the ceremonial Swiss Guard acts as a security police force.

An independent Cebu is feasible, those who think otherwise are myopic!

As for the military, we have to start small no? And tan-awon nato kung pwede ba sa bag-ong Cebu Constitution of 20xx maghimo ug military.

I'm sure ang Cebu or Republic of Visayas will be the best navy and air force in the Philippine Islands (probably, South East Asia since 1950s). Ang Mindanao, will be the best Army and Marine Corps Dunno for Luzon.

YES!!!! having a federal type of government could be the solution... ang tanong mosugot ba ang Luzon kung dle na nato hatagan og income from our product.. Luzon obviously cannot live without visayas and mindanao... mindanao will live.. visayas will survive... and the one they called metro manila will be a living hell.... so, those bas****ds mani***s will not agree with these....
