Sacks of fake five and ten peso coins were confiscated by the police authorities just recently. Even coins are now used illegally. Apparently, these fake coins are easily drawn by magnet, unlike that of coins that are issued by the BSP.
I remember one of my classmates working in BSP saying that the materials for these coins are imported so that they cannot be easily imitated. More so, even if they can be faked, it will be known since the materials are not the same. Hay naku, we should be aware of these fake coins that could circulate in the market. At least, the authorities were able to catch these people. |
