There are no issues between them. TCP/IP isn't OS dependent.

Many ways: -In console/command-line you could use smbclient. -You could mount as a filesystem (acts like a drive) using smbfs and an entry to your /etc/fstab. -If using GUI, open konqueror, then at address bar type: smb://pcname/shared_folder . Replace "pcname" is the windows pc name or ip address while "shared_folder" is the shared folder's name. Very funny bitaw....
