Default SMART Telecom's P20 per hour wireless internet

One can now access the internet either through GPRS or 3G via SmartTelecom for only P10 per 30 minutes (at your mobile webbrowser or PC)

No more per kilobyte charging unlike Globe.

I'm thinking of availing of this service but the problem is I'm stuck with Globe's UNLITXT service because almost all of my phonebook contacts are into Globe..

Unsa inyo masulti about aning bag-o nga service sa Smart? Nice ba kaha ni?

P 20 per hour diay ni ang rates?

I always thought it was 10 pesos per 30 mins.... theres a difference...

If 30mins ra akong gamiton or less.. I should just be charged 10 pesos whereas if 20 per hour.. even if less than 30mins lang.. I will be charged 20 pesos..

I'm a globe subscriber like you.. the N77 and smart subscription are for the office man so its ok... why not get a prepaid line sa smart?... you could still use this feature with prepaid while keeping your globe line.

I'm using that service btw.... unit is a N77 connected to a laptop via the usb cable.

Internet speeds are good for this type of service... around 300kbps.. so mga 37Kb/sec download speed maximum... good enough for casual browsing and email... Speed does depend on signal strength sa 3G network though.

Connection through PC Suite via the USB cable is seamless .. I got it right on the first try. Connecting via bluetooth is a bit trickier though and entails digging through more settings sa PC and Phone.

On some rare occasions, if you dont get a 3G signal sa phone theres no internet... you would need to set it up manually in network settings sa imong phone.

On the laptop.. .a network icon appears on the lower right part sa screen telling you that you're already connected.

Ako lang maingon is... mas nindot gyud naay laptop to browse... the 320x240 screen on the phone is difficult to work with when browsing the web. I've also experienced this browsing the web via a 320x240 PDA.

yup... nindot gyud if at least 640x480 or larger ang resolution when browsing.. the E61i's screen has a pretty large area... pwede na. Kapuy btaw dala ug laptop.. hehe pero very useful service gyud ang Smart internet... layo ra kaayo ang globe.

This internet service was the reason why I decided to get a smart subscription... and an N series phone... until now I saw no reason to use mga N series phones... murag gimmick ra man akong tan-aw sa features like 3G, video calling... etc... pero the internet service got me.. hehe
