i've heard from my friends from Smartbro that the 512kbps upgrade is being implemented in phases.. so it's not done at once and everyone is upgraded to 512. As i understand, there are still basestations that have on-going bandwidth expansion to meet the projected increase BW requirements...ako, dili pa 512 ang ako nakita sa portal and they said that the BTS serving me (Banawa) is already 512 enabled.... By the way I am 1.62km from the BTS, there are BTS nearer my location but Banawa have better (lower) jitter values that is why they home me to that BTS. unya na ko post sa ako speed test kay naa pa ko gi-download

about port forwarding... you can only do this if you have personal firewall software installed and used hardware router and port forward the ports used in you applications to access the internet like torrent... but you cannot port forward to Smartbro's routers since this is not possible, since Smartbro is implementing NAT, mao nga lisud i-VPN sa Smartbro if you are not a corporate subscriber...

Sa torrents, there are clients nga lisud gamiton sa Smartbro, sa ako setup, i have Zone Alarm PFW then D-link DI-604 router, when I used BitComet V0.62, wala ko problem sa DL, i can get as high as 45kBps speed (set to maximum DL speed of 45kBps aron pwede pa mo-surf). When i upgraded to BC V.84, pwerteng hinaya unya ingon siya blocked ang port sa akong Smartbro gateway... bisan gi-unsa nako ug configure ako PFW & router, pareho ra gihapon... so balik ko sa BC V0.62 ug back to normal ako torrent DLs. Same prob sa uTorrent 1.6.10.
