This sounds good. I believe that they'd implement bandwidth caps on this thing though, just like in the US. I wonder how long it'll take them to upgrade their towers to support 3.5G?
Or if Wimax becomes mainstream?

yes... the connection is not that satisfactory yet. kay nagsugod palang ang smart and everything at the moment could be experimental. especially the devices that they're using could be the cheap ones in the market. i had a negative experience about the service too, like two weeks ago. it got me so irritated. so i called them several times and demanded them to fix my antenna asap. so mao to, they did everything they could and now its better than how it was. and guess what, since i wasn't able to use the connection for nearly a month, i asked for the rebate and they granted it, the rebate amount which i got is roughly 900.00 php which is way to good already!!! so demand lang jud mo... and let them know how disgusted you are about their service. you can call them through *1888 using a smart mobile phone or 1800-10-672-7277 using pldt land line if something happens. and don't hesitate, you should get your money's worth.

ka wala gyuy claro aning SmartBro customer service ug Billing Department !
sila mismo dili man magkasinabot !

Btw, past nako sa 2-year lock-in contract, 3 years nako last December.

here's my story
last mo. naka-recieve ko ug billing worth 2,000pesos- billing period till Jan. 28.
pero as early as 12 am sa Jan. 8, ila na gi-putol ang akong connection.
8am sa Jan. 08, a Smartbro rep called me up to advise nga mas better if i pay directly sa Smart Center para madali ang reconnection
kay 2-3 days ang clearing sa online payment.
1 pm, still on Jan. 08, another SmartBro rep called me up to advise nga i only have to pay 1,300pesos para ila ibalik ang connection before the day is done.
So, at 3pm i was at Smart Center sa E-mall ready to pay 1,300pesos.

pero, naunsa man hinoun, nga gi-ingnan man ko sa customer service sa emall nga i have to pay the whole 2000pesos para ma-reconnected.
So, i gave her the 2 cp numbers of the SmartBro reps who called me up- nag-lalis sila over the phone.
after their altercation - este conversation, i was informed that i have to indeed pay the whole amount to be reconnected.

in my tantrum, i told the customer rep. nga ako nalang e-discontinue ang akong subcription.
pero ang nakalagot ug samot kay, i was told nga i still will have to pay the whole amount of 2000pesos.
My contention was nga why would i pay for the period of up to Jan. 28, nga as of Jan. 08 ila naman gi-putol !
i told her i was willing to pay 1000pesos and that's it. " send me legal summons if you will !"

I paid 1000pesos sa cashier and a week later i received a letter from the Davide(?) law office warning me of the legal consequences if i refused to pay my outstanding credit on SmartBo.

I simply ignored the letter, and just 2days ago, guess who called?
Smartbro rep. informing me that they have reconnected my Internet, apolologize for the errors on my billing and they were giving me a rebate....

i was like ....what the @#$$%
