remote connection using tightvnc needs to open the proper ports if your're behind a router/firewall. however, there are web based remote control such as www.logmein.com that needs only the http port (80) open to be connected. also, you may also check if u have a software firewall installed.

it will install a small client software on your unit. to control it, u need to go to their website and enter the information u supplied prior the registration.

hope this help.

good question. that has been raised a million times. i guess the best thing for you to do is to find the company you can trust. but i don't think the software company would breach the trust that both their free and paid members are putting on their shoulders.

otherwise stay on tightvnc, u just need to configure the ports.

i think dili ka maka configure ug tightvnc sa wireless domain kay secured man na cya cguro.
in a local wireless intranet you cant even copy files from one pc to another.

possible na dili jd na tightvnc. (

try this instead:

www.logmein.com
