Will Dual WAN routers really improve speed? Planning to get Globe and PLDT para mu pas pas pag gyud and backup sad if one networks is down.

If they are, which brand is good and tested?

murag dili man guro makapaspas.... or wait... imo guro pasabot mopaspas siya efect tungod sa "load balancer" niya noh? kung mabug-atan ang isa ka connection nimo, iya gamiton ang isa ipik... basta akong napalit sauna kay dlink man to pero ang blima kay wala nako na implement sa akong connection kay nabuang man ang opisina ako gi-set-upon ato gud...

kinsay naay direct experience ani ug unsa sad inyong router gamit? murag bati man to feedback sa akong nagamit nga dlink nga ingon ani gud....

dili man siya maka paspas, maybe in some way since ma shared man ang load sa connection ma 50/50 man siya per ISP. but then depende na sa pag configure pede man sad backup ang usa ka connection para failsafe incase mag down ang usa ka connection.
Edimax ang gamit namo sa office.

Kanang Dual Wan router is for uninterupted internet service, for example you need 2 ISP providers or at least 2 ISP accounts to make use of dual wan ports...doesnt necessary make your internet much faster. dili pareha sa sa Video card na pag SLI or crossfire mas dako improvement...

kaning routers wala man unta ni gi designed for load balancer pero naa lang work around para maka load balance.

imong e active/active and duha ka interface nya configure ka policy based routing.

lets say naa kay 192.168.1.0/24

imong tungaon sa duha.

192.168.1.0/25 (192.168.1.1 - 192.168.1.126) route sa PLDT

192.168.1.128/25 (192.168.1.129 - 192.168.1.254) route to globe

ako na ka configure nko ana... ang load balancing dli cya mka ingun nga mka pas pas sa internet connection. kun dli mka compensate lang cya kun mo bug down ang usa ka ISP nimo... i have been configured in my load balancing that the globe connection as to take over as a primary ISP in all of the PC in the network but PLDT still connected as an a ISP of the network, but then i figured out that the globe connection was not enough to support to all of the client PC. then im asking that "ngano wala mani ni kusog ang connection nga duha naman ni ka ISP?". that's why because the load balancing only use if ever the other ISP bug down, that's the time that another ISP will be use for your internet connection.. It doesn't mean that if you have a two ISP, then your connection of internet will be faster. That's wrong!

I think mas mayo upgrade ka sa speed sa imong ISP. Its more expensive subscribing to dual ISP rather than single fast connection.
Then again this dual WAN connection is for stability purpose not for speed.

I think. you can get a boost of you setup the load balancing to bytes or packets and not sessions. I setup my dlink router to do that and i get a boost in speed. almost the two connections added up. I have two 3 mbit connections and i can get 5+ Mbps+.

TO THOSE PEOPLE SAYS THAT DUAL ISP CAN BOOST YOUR INTERNET SPEED YOUR WRONG.
it depends on your package from your single isp. browsing the internet only one global IP is allowed to be used. dual isp is only good when one of ur isp is down and thats the time you can use the other one as a backup.

NOTE: both isp provide different ip numbers so kung mobalhin ka sa usa nimo ka isp naa gyud maputol nga connection like if your playing dota from gg expect nga ma putol gyud imo dula kung ikaw pa gyud nag host sa game daku kau balda..
