@archnacorda....sir didto ko ganina sa Philjap. kita ko sa mga guitars. setneck man diay tong SG. ako gi test work man tanan pickups,volumes and tones.quality sad kaayo ang machines heads!...sorry sir na ka uyon jud ko and i bought it...i got it for 2.3k.have to repaint it by myself....thanks sa imong help sir.

good luck sa imong project guitar.....no problem kanako nga imong gikuha.......did you notice nga gaan siya compared to Les Pauls...wala ko kabantay diay nga set neck diay toh...yup, maayo pa ang condition sa iyang hardwares...wala lang nako na testing that's why I didn't know nga OK pa diay ang pickups...so, what are your plans, paintwork ra ang imong plano nga improvements? keep us posted unya on it's development.....did you also test that single pickup strat ?

benweasel, consider thinking out of the box when choosing how to re-paint your SG....mao ni ang "The Fool" SG ni Eric Clapton....

@archnacorda....yep i noticed na gaan siya pero i think mao jud na ang SG.mas gaan asa LP.i had Epiphone sg before sa States pero ako gi trade ug Epiphone lp custom kay dili balace...mas bug-at ang neck kay sa body...pero na shock ko na balance kaayo ni SG na palit nako sa Philjap...

about sa paint nindot sad na kang Clapton pero i think i'll paint it solid black lang.mas ganahan ko black...sa hardwares i'm gonna use it.polish nalang ko para ma kuha uban taya ug hugaw.okay pa kaayo electronics.palitan lang nako ug bago nga knobs.thats it.i'll post pix before and after.hehe...wa nako ni lingi sa strat...nana man sa ko Bill Lawrence strat.

bai, don't overuse metal polish kay maka tang-tang na sa chrome plate...hinaya lang og rub, or use a toothbrush..before you polish, use paint thinner to remove the surface rust. For the knobs, Edz has Gibson-style knobs for 100 each......

I kindda like the guitar with it's present paint situation...murang worn-down ang effect. Vintage kaayo og dating kay daghan battle-scars. I'm glad you liked it....naa daw sila lain shipment 2 weeks from now...balik na pud unya ta didto.....don't forget to post pics of the guitar as you bought it.....

I use a Laney bass amp nga gamay that I got at JB Music for my acoustic bass. Gamiton pud nako usahay for acoustic guitar. Na palit nako for 3T last year pag sale nila. More or less same price sa Oscar Schmidt nga acoustic amp for guitar (pero this amp is not to be used for bass). Try Salonga SM for this amp if naa pa sila. Basta remember this basic rule - you can use a bass amp for acoustic guitar BUT NEVER use a guitar amp for a bass guitar.

I think Salonga also has a Dean Markley acoustic amp pero dako siya and is 10T. But I think it's not an authentic Dean Markley coz this brand is medyo top of the line. Do bring your instrument so you can test it on the amp you plan to buy. NEVER buy an amp without your instrument.....

benweasel, I noticed sa pics that when you installed the strings, gamay ra ang imong gi-wound around the machine head, leaving a large part of the string unwound. Naa lang ko'y piece of advice......wounding a large part of the string around the machine heads produce better sustain, specially if it is an acoustic guitar....the longer the metal, the higher it's resonance.....ang naka study og metallurgy nakasabot ani. Plus, with more string wound around the heads, mas dugay ma yabag ang tuning. Next time, try to wound the strings at least 5-6 times around the machine heads and maybe you can notice the difference.....mas taging-ting ang sound.
