If limited imong options to guitars nga naa ra diri sa Cebu, IMO the most practical would be a SIGMA sold by JB. SIGMA is made under license by Martin Guitars Co., so naay maayo nga quality control. They have a Grand Concert (GC) body model with cutaway nga maayo if you perform standing up kay it has a rounder and thinner body. Naa pud silay dreadnought model, which is better for performing when sitting. When unplugged or un-amplified, the GC body sound has less bass. The Dreadnoughts sound much fuller and louder. Basic rule of thumb is that the bigger the body, the bigger the sound. Pero kung you intend to play the guitar on stage, then go for a GC body. A brand new Sigma acoustic-electric will cost you around 10T-12T. As I earlier posted, I have a Sigma DM-1 dreadnought and I installed a generic 4-channel pre-amp nga saddle type. It's my main stage-guitar right now. IBANEZ AE series are also a good choice, pero try to get one nga natural finish. The colored stained models does not look good on stage. However, maayo ang iyang amplified sound because the Fishman pre-amps are very good. I have an IBANEZ AEB08 acoustic bass nga black, and I can personally attest nga well crafted ang AE series. Salonga guitars sell IBANEZ, pero you can get it 10% cheaper at any Audiophile store didto sa Manila. |

Again, check the neck and be sure the model has a truss rod. And look at the string action. There is also the possibility that the frets may be too sharp, which is common for entry-level production. Just use a nail file and carefully smooth the edges. Other MIC guitars within your budget is the SAKURA brand found in most Gaisano stores. Ayaw lang ana bro kay dili dyud siya well-crafted. The Alegre and Harana guitars that I earlier mentioned is not within your budget, pero if maka add ka gamay, I would strongly suggest you get it. Try lang pud going back to PhilJap kay basin naay Yamaha sa sunod nga shipment, then butangan na lang nimo og saddle pre-amp. Puede man adto nimo ipa-install sa Cebu Guitars. |
