Teamless that I am, what the hell, count me in.

I suggest not to use the name ISAF.

First, the name is already been taken by 2 teams from Luzon and 1 from Mindanao. Second, it sounds too "wannabe" of the Phil. Special Action Force. My two cents.

Special forces groups don't usually announce their unit's identity by affixing the term "Special" to them. They usually use more obscure terms that have a more covert meaning. For instance, "Section 8". In military parlance, this means "clinically insane", which perhaps describes the character of the unit. Something like "Unit iStorya" or similar sounds more lean and mean.

I suggest nga dili i-rush ang pag create nianing team, just for the sake of joining tourneys. Mao kani ang hinungdan ngano ang uban dali ra kaayo ma-pul-an sa airsoft, because paspas kaayo ang pagsulod sa hobby (while knowing very little about it), then sige'g tourney dayon, without appreciating the finer qualities of the hobby.

Like what Herp and Cap'n said, daghang other ways to enjoy the hobby, such as MILSIM, and there are now practical shooting organizations that use airsoft pistols.

Some say they only want to get into airsoft for the camaraderie and "barkada" spirit, and being involved in a "manly" sport. If this is your reason for being in the hobby or sport, I'm not against this. However, if this is the ONLY reason why you are getting into airsoft, then it's sad, kay you might as well just join a football, badminton, or basketball club. There are so many aspects of this hobby that are interesting and sayang kaayo if the only reason why you want to get into it kay "bibo" ug "pampawala sa stress".

If we really want a competent, and responsible team made up of iStoryans, then it should be one that can truly set an example in terms of skills, knowledge and sportsmanship. And the only way to do this is NOT to rush things.

Good point there mate. Lotsa blokes here don't even understand what airsoft is. For them it's just a game of "go shoot and kill them all", even others with a different reason for a lame excuse of execersice, stress whatever, and so forth..

if you want stress relief, go to a spa or massage, even sleep...
if you want exercise, go jog or hit the gym...
if you want camaraderie, try adventure racing...
if you dont know what the essence of airsoft is, then look it up first before you join in.

AIRSOFT is not a "race". Its not a marathon, or as i would like to put it, a "deathmatch biathlon". Where you go bloody shoot yourself out while doing a footrace. Airsoft is definitely not "track and field"

AIRSOFT is about discipline, intelligence, endurance, tactics, strategy, patience, perseverance, and right down simulation. More brains, less brawns..

I'll compare it to a bit more complicated chess game.. Not snakes and ladders..

mao jud...mao gani i started a ten man team for the meantime so the knowledgeable people jd ang mag.una og tukod sa team...and this is a special regiment which aims in voluntary service to help so i wouldnt want people who just want to brag to get into the team...i need responsible, dedicated and skilled people..

by the way sir rodsky, i had a word with sir herp already...he said he wanna try to be in the team considering the so called conflicts that a few teams out there currently have...im taking him in...i think we should try to resolve these conflicts because it destroys the essence of the game...let's bring this team to life and promote peace..
