@DaNZ|G: Bro, the most common reason for that is full na kaayu imo memory. Both phone and extended memories. Kana mag application closed na prompt means naa sad ka na install na corrupt na application. Try to refresh your memory first basin mauli-an.

yes what he said.
but its not more on the extended memory being full...more on the phone internal memory being full. its fine to have the mmc being 100% full as long as the internal memory is empty phone will still function 100%.
however if the internal memory isfull, and even though the external memory is empty, the phone can't function propertly.
asuming that all apps and programs are not corupt and are in good order.

try formatting...should fix the problem.

permanent solution, keep all pics, videos, tones, etc(even msgs) in the mmc, keep ur internal memory clear as possible.

Default Problem with your Symbian Cellphone Software?

i have everythin saved on my mmc and still have about 9mb free space on it and if m not mistaken, my internal memory still has 3-4 mb free space.. all my videos, pics and text messages are saved on mmc as well.. so my assumption would be because of some corrupt applications i might have installed before since the 'app close' error comes with different application names m not familiar of..

how do i format it? and if i do, m gonna lose the files then, right?

thanks for the replies!

If you saved all your files in your MMC, then you wont lose them except for your phone contacts. You only need to reformat your phone memory, not your MMC. Before you reformat your phone, have you tried uninstalling your applications? Remove those applications that you have installed especially those that you don't need and eat up your memory space. Some applications eat up space also in you phone memory even if you installed it in your MMC. After this, restart your phone.
If still "app close" error comes out and freezes your phone, then I think you should proceed to reformating your phone memory. to reformat your phone, press *#7370# or read previous post for complete details.
- one way of saving your contact list before reformating you phone is to find it in the system files (I forgot where basta its named contact.**) and copy it in your MMC as back-up. This can only be done if you have a phone explorer. Hope this helps...

If it still gives you your system error, try these steps
1. turn off phone
2. press and hold the pencil button
3. turn on phone (keep holding down the pencil button
4. your phone should now start up error free.

worst case scenario, to begin with, you may have installed a corrupted program that in turn have corrupted your system. So if after doing the steps above doesnt work, try to use your back up file. (sort of like system restore, that is IF you have a back up file).
restarting the phone and when

where can i find c:\system\system.ini file and c:\system\bootdata\FirstBoot.dat file?

@DaNZ|G: Bro, for you to find those files...you need to use an explorer application like FExplorer or SeleQ. Do you have that installed in your phone? When you do, then you will understand what chanbri is referring. Its just like your windows explorer in your mobile phone.
