Ok for my laptop:
HP Pavilion 6820TX 15.4" Screen T8100 Core2Duo Processor 2.1GHz 2GB DDR2 RAM 250GB Hard drive Nvidia 8400GS 256mb dedicated + Whatever bonus vista gives DVD RW w/ lightscribe Fingerprint reader and the usual bells and whistles that comes with laptops nowadays. Toughest game I threw at it is COD4 and it's plays with average framerate on low low low graphics @ 800x600 resolution. Not bad I guess considering I only bought it for browsing and spreadsheets lol. Only cost me like NZ$1400 too.. (Roughly Php46,000) |

cool! Im using the same modem. its a Huawei modem E220. But I'm on singtel 2.0mbps connection( previously a 1.8mbps but they upgraded it to 2mbps for free). Here we got a 512kbps, 1mbps, 1.8mbps, and 3.6mbps. Max 50gb bandwidth per month.
Ry, kana nga plan is also pure data right? what's the speed that Globe is claiming you would be getting? |

1.4MBPS ra ang globe, yup we have the same modem, Huawei E220 with 3.6MB mas connection. Unfortunately globe only gives me 1.4mbs max at full HSDPA,kung naka gprs ra hinay kaayo. Auto adjust man cya whatver signal ana nga location.

hows the performace niya ry? ok bah iya reliability? di siya permi putol? ive been considering getting one...but with n95 used as a modem, connection reliability isnt anything to be admired under globe here in emall...smart connection via the n95 seems stable enough but ang globe sigi ka putol.

Well I think dili, coz before even with GPRS using my old SE t68i nag modem naman ko sa PC with GPRS connection lang.
Kanang Globe Visibility its a kit comprising of a Modem and a Sim, the sim also has its own number but I dont plan on using it, but the PC application comes with a text tab where you can send text messages via your PC. The software is embedded in the modem, so it auto installs on XP and Vista systems when you plug the USB. |
