blitz is right, speed limits are usually on the device side. cards today perform very well may it be sd or mmc.

a 150x sd card used in the latest high end cameras today for example can only still performe 5 to 6mbps or 1/4 that of its full potential. similarly if you wer to use a slower rated 66x sd card on that same device would perform say 5mbps or 1/2 of its full potential. its almost always limited to the device ang speed.

best place to look is the internet.. there are forums where people compare benchmark speeds of their devices on different cards..

if you are lucky, there may be some benchmarks on your device..
