hi! just posting for a friend. her sony ericsson p1i accidentally went diving in salt water. well, she tried going to the SE service center in ayala but they said they couldn't do anything about it except to change the motherboard which is very very costly. just a couple of weeks ago, it turned on again (a miracle!)but the prob is that she can't use the keyboard and the camera button. what can be done about it?

first, have the whole unit cleaned... then, try bringing it to markyap.. those people at SE ALWAYS tells you that the problem is the motherboard and there is nothing that can be done and that you need to buy a new motherboard which costs THE SAME AMOUNT as a new unit of the phone itself..

Yeah... it's dying a slow death... the touch screen is so pathetic na gani cause it has mini-scratches cause it seems like I just don't care about it na...

Sige guys.... I challenge you to fix my p1i to it's full glory without costing me 4 digit pesos...

basically, I can't use most of the keypad... the camera functions through the main menu... but it seems like i don't have any way to capture pics without the damned camera button.... hay naku, sayang kaayo ang mga missed moments of seeing my crush w/o my trusted cam...

its not as trusted a cam now is it hehehe...keypad and camera problem...under 4 digits...not a chance...casing palang to replace ur camera button will cost as much...unless adto ka mga replacement...lcd alone cost 4 digits...buy a better phone nalang kaya...

Update on my p1i.... the cancer seems to be spreading...the 3 rows of my keyboard isn't functioning na jud...

I guess this is a sure sign that I have to change my phone for good na jud...

I don't think I'll ever buy an SE phone again.... ever... ang hirap magpagawa!! sakit sa ulo and bulsa...

thats y you should make an extra effort of taking good care your gadgets... any gadgets ma psp or cellphone, digital anything... para dili ma waste ang money nato...
