I blame it to the 3-CENTURY colonization of the Spaniards... All countries which were colonized by Spain did not prosper. From Mexico, Hunduras, etc, They are just like us...
It's the Spaniards and friars who introduced politics, and along with it is corruption. IMO

True...

I had a thesis on that issue once entitled "Spanish culture the life blood of corruption" but was absolutely denied by the university I was into. It had something to do with the teachings of the Church during the Spanish regime and what was later on denounced as a "political abomination". The Church during that era wanted power so bad that they did not mention the true situation of the Philippine Government to the royalties of Spain. Simply because they wanted power for themselves.

And yes it was denied because I mentioned the holy (crap) name of the mother "Church".

We tend to know everything, especially in politics. Everyone has a stand on everything and we are all agitated to implement it. Somehow, we have abused our so-called rights and freedom of expression and translate it to matters even beyond boundaries.

If we only know how to use our rights properly, maybe we will be at a better end. Public officials should stop using their positions to gain something. We should stop applauding them for their mistakes. We should all be wary with what we do.

Yes, blame it on everyone but yourselves. I mean something that happened over a century ago REALLY does set you up for failure.
