^^thanks vern..

to all USA istoryans:

aside from getting on with our manito-manita, it would be of great help to be able to give a little for our less-fortunate brothers and sisters in Cebu this Christmas season.. let's share a little of our blessings and spread the spirit of Christmas..

Merry Christmas Cebu!!

I saw the photos. It breaks my heart to see something like that and the circumstances/background history surrounding it too re the mother. Let's hope and pray that if these two babies will be operated, it will be a success. I have read news about something like this and one of the two did not make it. They have to be separated sooner or later. Also i hope they have outside agencies helping the expenses for these two babies.

My prior commitment is for the Overseas Fundraising and I'll stick to that commitment on a monthly basis. I hope the others will too.

Ms. Beau, good idea to visit them at the Nursery. They look so cute and they need a lot of love and care. So sad about the condition of these two.

@ dred
chances are big, they don't share any internal organs, according to the DSWD.

@ Ms. Beau
you are very much welcome when you visit them. Naa sila sa nursery sa Velez Hospital.

it would be a big help if we can bring back our monthly donations for our outreach programs in Cebu.. even as little as $5 every month could go a long way..

friends,

charmz and i went to velez this afternoon and learned that:
*the hospital does not receive donations (whether cash or goods) straight from donors; everything must course through DSWD
*one has to get permission from the hospital director to see the twins

as the director was not around when we were there, we were not able to visit the twins personally. i was able to talk on the phone with their attending physician though and was adviced to coordinate with the DSWD personnel in charge of the tiwns for whatever fund-raising activities or personal donations.

@ma'am galadriel
i believe you are in close contact with the DSWD in charge. may we know if we can give donations in kind? if we can, kindly inform us all here of the specifics like the milk brand, diaper size, preferred toys, etc. And if there are cash donations, who would be the DSWD contact person to look for?

thanks!
