How to stop or solve the poverty in the Philippines?

all the past presidents tried pero wa jd.. poverty is inevitable.. and for me poverty is not a choice but a consequence.. tnawa sad na ang officials oi na naa sa pwesto...

-quality education
-employment opportunities...

most importantly, people must study/work harder and depend not much on the government...

we can lessen poverty if we will start from our ownselves!! what i mean is we shud be responsible to make this country move forward!! don't be like a floating citizen but help!! help ur neigbhor or help ur family to move forward!! if we have that attitude, then this country wud go forward!! morag josenian ba!! forward radiant children!!!! hehehehehe!

I agree.

It all comes down to patriotism. To love one's country for the good of all and not just for self gain. This is the root of all our problems. With the symptoms being:

1. Corruption - people resort to this because they are placed at a hopeless state where an honest days work will not put food on the table. Their dependency on this also causes greed where their acquired wealth allows them to get more and more to fuel their insatiable habit.

2. Slow Economic Dev't - People have the mindset that the situation is hopelss so they find means to leave the country to seek greener pastures. With the country loosing its greatest minds and highest skilled workers to better opportunities abroad, how can the country improve?

People have to ask what they can do to help their country instead of the other way around. Maybe focus more on long term goals sacrificing the short term, instantaneous but short lived rewards. It's a matter of sacrifice, determination and belief that it can be done.

the best solution is for each one of us to be a moral person then bitay the kawatans in government. nobody is watching the government. wala may punishment.

we must control our population. if our population is controlled, education will be of higher quality(because of smaller ratio of teacher to student), few will be competing for jobs, the governmnet will be able to feed the poor, and there will be lesser squatters. just observe the developed contries.
