Original Sandisk Imagemate @ 1,750

"fastest" USB all in one card reader on the planet (UMDA compatible) no m2 support

Original Trancend P8 @ 750

just slightly outperformed by Imagemate by a very tiny margin (supports UMDA and m2) no xD support.

these card readers are rated 32mbps speeds.
tested both readers on sandisk 4gb extreme III memory card... i get speeds of 25-27mbps easy!

Garmin GPS Device with Voice Navigation @ 15,000 (with bluetooth or with larger LCD 18,000)
includes 4GB/2GB/1GB SD respectively
Mount for in vehicle use
Car power adapter
220v charger(for the 1st version and bluetooth version only)
USB cable
Headset
etc.

Features
4.5inch touch screen LCD display
Complete Philippine Detailed Maps (north to south of cebu, mandaue, lapu2x, bantayan, etc)
Turn by Turn Voice Navigation to destination
Search by address, points of interest, contacts (you can program peoples places), cities, intersections, coordinates
Photo Viewer (with transitional configurable slideshow)
Video Player
Music Player
FM transmitter (so that navigation voice can be heard thru the car stereo speakers instead of the builtin stereo speakers...same with mp3 music, movie playback, etc.)
6 Games Preloaded (provided stylus makes games play more fun)
Ebook Reader
Flash Player
Calendar
Advance Calculator
Unit Converter

ive tested it travelling north and south of cebu...i get directions very accurately and the trip computer gives speed reading and travel times even elevation details are available.

cebu is super detailed far from what we have seen from navfone or google earth/map...i type in the complete address of a friends house as in the house # and tres de abril and it found the house eactly.
lapu2x & opon & cordova are in good detail with major and minor route mapped out etc. abot ug talamban, ug tisa ang minor routes na map out. pag abot toledo less minor routes na ang available. major routes are fine.

I tried searching for beaches near my location and it instantly gave me all the resorts in cebu i could think off.
same with hospitals and it displayed the nearest hospital first which was the coolest since it starts finding locations from within 4km away of current location..100km...200km...etc.
finding churches and hotels is made very easy.

small enough to be a hand held device. very thin profile for easy portability. battery powered.
boracay was also pretty detailed (with dicapac waterproof case) ligaw kaayo.
btw, you can also switch to nautical units for use in the ocean. it even has ferry route info hehe.

now for the bad part.
since many roads in the outskirts of cebu are "off road/rough road" without names, you need to search those areas via the place you want to go to like a resorts name or town etc. like san remegio or balamban and it will guide you there.
another thing i notice is that map of cebu isnt very up to date. some new hotels like parklane hotel isnt in the database yet...rajah hotel is still garwood...etc.
device has digital TV capability and garmine online but not available in the philippines. everything else works great.

Conclusion:
i was impressed by this nifty little gizmo. if you want a full functional easy to use one time pay GPS unit for your car with turn by turn voice navigation, this is the perfect device for you with multimedia to boot

here is the sample of the map details...notice the ferry route

each and every tiny road in hipodromo is listed. touching the road on the screen displays the street

as fortuna on the right...ma. luisa village on the left...talamban above

mandaue ni siya. zooming in would display more road names

below are sample photos of the GPS showing 2D and 3D graphics on my way to Emall.

as im driving along V.Rama Ave, i know how many kilometers or meter away i am to the next turn. normally display is in this 3D graphics mode.

as i get to the intersection, voice prompts me to take the left turn to N. Bacalso.

here the display switches to 2D graphics for several seconds as the voice informs me that im arriving at my destination on the right side. as you can see it also tell me im 450meters away as should arrive there in 30sec at current speed.

this is the match box size device. we also have something half the size with 1 week standby time.
btw, mic is omni directional...

new stocks arriving will be mid size. smaller than the matchbox size. little larger than the half size. same price. longer standby time yet smaller for easy concealment.
