The causes of foodborne illness are multifaceted. Some major risk factors of foodborne illness are related to employee behaviors and preparation practices in food service establishments. The principle known risk factors include:

Improper holding temperatures,
Inadequate cooking, such as undercooking raw shell eggs,
Contaminated equipment,
Food from unsafe sources,
Poor personal hygiene, and
Others (such as, pest and rodent infestation and improper food storage).

Heard from the news yesterday and they are doing a recall on PROCESSED EGG SALADS in the east coast area of the US because it is contaminated and maybe 2 weeks earlier , ICE BERG LETTUCE was recalled also for being contaminated .

There is an old saying: 'For want of a nail, the horseshoe was lost. For want of a horseshoe, the steed was lost. For want of a steed, the message was not delivered. For want of message, the war was lost.

Have you heard on the news about a Father and his 2 sons in Laguna who died because of RED TIDE? We better stay away from shell fish as much as possible.
