It's a Pasta theme for Windows XP! The wallpaper is Fusilli being dropped in boiling water and the screensaver is an animated version of that. The sounds are those of dishes and utensils being moved around. Anyone who loves pasta will surely appreciate it.

@insik24 - fresh or dried...dili maka better or worse..only different. For example kanang spaghetti always jud na siya dried pasta made of the strongest durum wheat and water never eggs. On the other hand sad ang fettuccine are made of flour and eggs that are best when fresh. Ang main point ani bro...a box of good quality dried pasta is far better than any mediocre fresh pasta. Mao na importante kaayo if you make fresh pasta your ingredients should be of the best quality.

Ang main ingredients would be all purpose flour and eggs. Then depende na nimo for the variation. You can subsitute the APF with whole wheat flour (Whole Wheat Pasta) ; adding spinach makes the color green (Spinach Pasta) ; adding basil, parsley, scallions etc. (Herb Pasta)

..but all in all nindot kaayo to make your own pasta kay lahi ang pleasure and satisfaction nga ikaw jud naghimo and mas memorable ining kaon diba...

anyway do you have pasta machine? or will you do it by hand? have you done it before? unsa man jud specifically imo needed info?

Hi Gwyn, just want to share... we had Alfredo in white cream sauce the other nite with grilled chicken breast. the chicken breast gi timpla na namo the nite before and it was so tasty with pasta basta grilled chicken. then for the noodles, we used spaghettini the slim spag noodles is what we usually prefer and i just boiled it al dente. Newayz, the sauce came out so good from scratch we used buttermilk and some eggs with margarine and spices so that made the sauce creamy white tapos naghimo na lang ko ug garlic bread slices out of sourdough bread and put some margarine and fresh minced garlic on top tapos bake and toast to top brown gamay. Wow! everything came out really good and perfect. Its good with the grilled slices of chicken breast the taste is just there.

p.s. forgot and a lot of fresh parmesan cheese stinky smell but its good with pastas and the sourdough garlic toast.

Tom Cruise's Spaghetti Carbonara
Created by Tom Cruise
From the show Tom Cruise
Makes 4 servings
INGREDIENTS 1/2 inch of olive oil (for frying pan)
2 cloves of minced garlic
1 chopped onion
8-12 thick slices of Italian bacon
4 eggs
2 packages of spaghetti
2 cups grated parmesan cheese

In a frying pan, combine 1/2 inch of olive oil, 2 cloves of minced garlic, one chopped onion and the Italian bacon cut into small squares. Let simmer for about a half-hour, being careful not to let the oil get to a boiling point.

In a bowl, beat 4 eggs with lots of salt and fresh ground pepper.

Bring a pan of salted water to a boil. Cook both packages of spaghetti until al dente, drain and immediately add egg mixture to pasta. The eggs are actually cooked by the pasta. (Make sure the eggs are thoroughly cooked before proceeding.) Stir the egg mixture until it is well mixed. Pour in the mixture from the frying pan and stir. Finish with the parmesan cheese and serve!

note: i don't know pila na ang 2 packages didto sa US. what i did with this recipe is that i just followed the sauce and measured 200 grams of uncooked pasta.

@ hera_82: For those people who don't like pineapple or fruits in their main dish (like myself hehe) can we just use the juice in the can and use the fruit in a dessert?
