bro i have tried both beta and release candidate 1 of Windows 7... im happy to tell you that this is really one good Operating System... it is faster than Vista... it could even run smoothly on my Pentium4 3.2 Ghz, 1 GB corsair pc400 DDR, asus p4c800, geforce fx 5500 agp 256mb 128bit video card.. installation is pretty much easy... its like vista interface but the speed is somewhat xp

Download it from microsoft directly. it should be the RC (release candidate) ver. 7100 i believe. Running it at the moment - ok ra man.

Nag gamit ko ron sa Windows 7 RC1 x64 bit. So far ok raman. Pero nag ka problema ko sa akong new gaming rig gahapon kai ang mga games mo crash. Akong gi balik sa stock speeds and settings akong pc para ma stable. I found out that I need to redo the overclocking so that the games will run properly on Win 7 64 bit. Have read some crashes also on OC machines from other forums and they were able to fix it by switching back to default bios settings then redoing the OC procedure. No problem whatsoever on 32 bit machines though. I did this also and so far ok na ang mga games and have managed to get a good stable compromise between heat and speed. 3.6Ghz at 1800fsb temps at idle 35C and full load 56C. Rerunning Prime95 now.

Naa koy Windows 7 RC1 and mas ok pa siya sa Windows Vista. Running Windows 7 in my EEE PC 1000h, Intel Atom 1.6ghz, 1gb RAM, Express Mobile 945 Chipset 128mb ang vga.

sad to say on some, download jud ka balik. but some vista drivers do work on windows 7.

Am using build 7260 wala pa ko kasuway nicrash.

i beg to disagree. if you follow technologies incorporated into the Windows 7 build, it is more than just an improved / cleaned-up Vista. Virtual Wifi, XP mode... etc etc. Even with just the technologies that went into Media Player 12 is reason enough to upgrade. It is just a solid, fast, stable, uncluttered OS that puts even the Mac OS to shame.

I've been using Windows 7 since RC 7000. Now, I'm using the RTM both 32 and 64. Absolutely flawless performance. Esp on new machines. Don't expect much on anything with less than 2GB. not worth it, murag XP ra. RAM is so cheap nowadays, you'd really need a big reason not to have 4 or 6GB on your machine. 700 pesos per gb.

Start-up times improved as well. I have access to my desktop within 25 seconds of turning it on.
