Default step parent, step sis/bros. half sis/bros.

How does it feel to have a half sibling(s), step sibling(s),  or parent(s)?

I have an older half-sister, the daughter of my father out of wedlock. Met her for the first time last Dec. 2003. After that, I never saw or  heard anything from her. My mother knew about my father's issue before they got married and kept it from us. It never bothers me...maybe bec. I have matured.

if she's the daughter of your father, i think that's called a half-sister.

i have step-sisters. children of my stepfather with his first wife. we knew each other as children. but we grew apart.
i also have half-sisters, daughters of my step father and biological mother, who i treat like the sisters that they really are.

how it feels - ok lang. i'd like to spend time with my step brother and stepsisters, kay they are my sister's siblings too, pero murang di man i allow sa panahon. on the other hand i can't help but think how once upon a time, a lot of people's feelings might've been hurt.

maybe you would've acted differently if you knew about it before you were as old in mind as you are right now. perhaps your mother made the right decision.

my mom was a very cool person...God rest her soul....one of the pearls of wisdom she passed on to me ...was to love my man no matter what...no questions asked....

bitaw my father had a lot of affairs before he finally married my mom....so naa ko half siblings....my mom accepted them kay according to her ang tanan nahitabo daw before sila nag kakita sa ako papa....pero she was honest enough to admit sad...nga wala sad daw siya kabalo how she would have reacted kon nahitabo while together na sila....

so because my mom was kewl about it...i grew up ok ra sad with the situation....in fact i am in a similar situation now...my husband already had a son before we met...and now ok ra man amo relationship.....wala blema...

i imagine that my reaction would be different have I known the truth while in HS days..As you know, teenagers tend to be dramatic to the extent of being OA, hehe..

my mother did the right decision...hiding the past and waiting for us to finally age to maturity so as to fully understand the situation was just the right thing to do...i could have done the same..

i have a half brother and a half-sister.. each has different mothers. Mga maguwang nako. Siaw man gud tung akong tatay gud sa una oi.

Ang kanindot lang kay among tatay gipa-ila-ila gyud mi manag-suon. So my siblings and I are very close to them, we respect them na amo gyud sila mga maguwang namo. They are even close sa among mga ig-agaw sa father side.

Break the rules, expect the consequences.
