CIVIL WEDDING: Help!

Hello mga higalang istoryan!
Mangayo lang kog advice and badly needed infos nga inyong ma share.

I'm currently base here in the u.s. and im planning on getting married (civil) karong december inig uli nako for a short vacation.

I guess my first question is: How long does it take na makuha ang marriage license?
I mean like pila ka days gikan sa pag submitt sa tanang requirments and documents, pila ka days ang hulaton una pwede na kaslon?
I understand naa pa sad seminar nga atenan?

Ang prob man gud nako is my time is very limited nig uli nako.
Let's say i have about 7-10 days lang. Madala kaha ni?

If NOT, naa bay way nga madali? I mean if i have to pay extra, ok ra.
Basta LEGAL tanan, ang ako lang is i won't be caught in a lot of red tape, kay like i said, limited kaayo akong time.

Kung naa moy ma share nga experience ninyo, please do so.
Or better yet, kung naa moy mga kaila nga judge or ways to expedite a civil wedding, please let me know.

bro, my grandmother happens to be the mayor of our little town. daghan2x naman pud xa ug nakasal.. mangutana lang ko bro if unsa ang mga necessary documents. i think dali ra nah if somebody from here will have to work on the documents in your absence....

dali ra jud na bro if naa kay kaila or ang mutrabaho sa imo papeles naa'y kaila. in reality, dugay jud na kay kahibaw baya ka sa red tape sa ato government. when i got married, nadali ra because we control the town where i had our wedding so wala nami ni-agi ug nihuwat sa S.O.P ba.

@mikky, mao lagi, i guess mao na akong ginapangita, ang mo process sa tanan papeles and requirements.
Murag diha man gud madugay ang processing for the license than the actual wedding itself.

Kinsa may naay kaila nga mo process sa license nga dali ra?

Brod..same scenario na sa ako before..madala rana ang 7-10 days as long kompleto ang papers daan. Duha ka papers imong dapat trabahuon, ang sa Cebu City Health ug sa Capitol. Ang marriage contract makuha dayon..pero ang sa NSO maoy dugay..usually mga 1-2 months.
and you gonna need that both pag file nimo ug petition sa imo wife.

ask somebody to do the papers in ur absence..it takes time jud.. ask lang q,why mn sad u reallny nid to have the papers dayon?if your wifey will jst be stayng sa pinas,she can have it anwyay wen u left..

remember there was a Judge that was suspended for fast tracking civil marriage in exchange for money....

@marshie, ang ako pasabot is ang marriage license.
Mo seminar way problema, pero sama sa ingon ni ian, 7-10days una makuha ang license after ni seminar and provided nga nakompleto na tanan docs.
Ang ako prob, mga 7-10days ra pud akong bakasyon

So ideally, ang gusto unta nako mahitabo nga nig abot nako, seminar dayon nya mga 2-3days gawas na ang LICENSE para pwede na kaslon.

I guess mao ni akong gikinahanglan ug tabang, mahimo ba ang pagpaabot sa Marriage License dili na madugay para makasal dayon?

@bycane, bro try kuno ni og contact si Judge Sarmiento siya man to ang nag kasal namo last year, dali raman to kaayo less than 3 days ra gani to, nya sila ra lihok tanan. and heres the amazing part, it will only cost you 3500 pesos 4,000 tops. iya # bro is 09176208104 i hope mao gihapon na iya number. ingna lang nga mo larga ka dayon padulong manila ayaw lang e mention nga naa ka diri sa US kay basin nya pangwartahan ka. mao man sad na ako. then dont worry kay legal na tanan, amo gani naa na sa NSO.

ask lang ko...where man diay imong fiance karon? if she is in cebu, she can work the papers out and all u have to do is proof na ur abroad and that dili ka makauli basta basta and that u will just be here for a week or so just for the wedding...

i dont know diri sa cebu ha, pero sa gensan, where i am from, dali ra maski dili ka magred tape. tried ko na kay nagcivil wedding mi sa ako hubby. seaman xa and we needed to get married ASAP then kay manganakay na ko that time. so in just 1 wk nahuman ang documents pati and seminar. sa mukasal nothing to worry kay kamu man magbuot sa date and you just have to pay 500 pesos sa mukasal.

all in all, 4thousand pesos lang amu nagastos. here are the things u need to prepare:

1. authenticated birth certificate (which can be procured by anybody here with your authorization letter)
2. cedula
3. the popcom seminar pwede mahangyo na xa. anyway 1 day ra man pud na.

i can help you sa marriage license BUT the problem is GENERAL SANTOS CITY ang mahimong location sa wedding. wala man ko kaila diri sa cebu gud. unya mas strict and policy sa civil wedding diri sa cebu compare to other provinces.

Wala man mi prob sa pag secure sa docs, we are in the process of getting them in fact.
Wala pud prob sa pag adto sa seminar.

Ang prob is we can't wait 8-10 days nga mogawas ang marriage license, because we have to wait for that before makasal.
Ideal scenario is, mo seminar mi, following day makuha ang license, then makasal sa judge all in one week.
