murag pirmi ra jd ko makabasa ani diri basta naay mangutana or mangayo advice kung unsa nindot na camera paliton..

which really matters most? ang camera or the photographer's eye/creativity? or commonly stated "wala na sa pana, naa na sa indian".

ang musulod sa ako huna2 pirmi ky, "what if ang imo kauban na indian nagdala og crossbow nya imo kay long bow..kinsa may mas lawn og samad mahimo sa ila duha na patay daun ang kontra, diba?"

IMHO, the camera really matters (pana), creativity can be learned and improved through time (indian), but the image quality of your camera won't improve (if you have 1000D against 5D, no match ang 1000D on IQ). Both will complement eachother mn sd, but I find the camera more important cause what if you do have the talent and creativity but then your images are crappy or in short bad IQ. And let's turn it around, you have a 5D but your composition is bad, it's not a problem sd kay you can always improve man.

kapoyan nmn sd gd ko mkabasa ko ana na linyaha na "wala na sa pana, naa na sa indian", i don't get the logic there or it doesn't answer what is being asked, so now let's put meaning to those words. WHICH REALLY MATTERS FOR YOU? and WHY nlng sd..hehe..

TESDA preparing certification for Philippine Photographers

got this news from photo.net.ph

What is TESDA? TESDA is the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority
TESDA in cooperation with the FPPF and Manila’s top Photographers are in process of developing a certification and qualification standards for Photographers. Yes you read it right.. They are putting a system of standards and qualifications for Photographers. The Initial Setup is composed of 4 competencies… the highest being that for the Professional Photo Studio.

With the emergence of cheaper and better Digital Cameras, The business of Photography has been flourishing but not all photographers are alike and all business have different practices, that is where TESDA comes in and sets minimum standard requirements for Photographers depending on their qualification under the different compentencies.

The Philippines has become a pool for international markets for skilled workers and now even Photographers are needed abroad that is why, TESDA is setting the minimum skills and qualification standards for the photographer to get certified before he is allowed to venture into his new photography world, in this case photography on board cruise ships.

20 of the top photographers in their field were invited to take part in forming and setting the standards for TESDA. Photographers in the group invited included Ramond Isaac, Mark Floro, Allan Razo, Juluis Klar, Jay Javier, Sonny Yabao, John Chua (represented by wife Harvey), Toch Arellano, Bernard Mejias, Nes Santiago and Anton Sheker to name a few of the Photographers present. The Photographers reviewed, deliberated and revised technical data that will be used by TESDA in formulating their key competencies for the photography certification. It will take time since the results of the other regions will have to be collated and fused together as one.

This certification is voluntary but if all the ad agencies and photography related businesses adopt it, then everyone will eventually be forced to take it.

I think this is a good step into the future of philippine photography, setting the standards and raising the awareness of what it really takes to become a “Professional Photographer in the Philippines”

Watch out for the TESDA certification for Photographers once they finalize all details and data is collated from the other regions in the Philipppines.

hi, just want to start a thread all about blue. presenting planet in blue like sky, seas, underwater shots, etc.

this is one way of endorsing environmental conservation. lets show how nice our home.

comments and suggestion are always welcome on this thread.

I encourage also to watch the Blue Planet BBC - Science & Nature - Sea Life - Blue Planet TV series (http://www.bbc.co.uk/nature/programmes/tv/blueplanet/), dugay nani sya produced by BBC. at the end of the DVD
kay gi feature ang Philippines nga rampant for illegal fishing hopefully ma change nato na ang tanaw sa Philippines
internationally.

In my 80% of my career i've been working on mostly NGO supporting conservation, I developed softwares for coastal municipalities for recording the Coastal activities for free thru the NGO. For me this is another way of presenting our planet to avoid illegal activities para ma appreciate sa mga people.

thanks.

kay gi feature ang Philippines nga rampant for illegal fishing hopefully ma change nato na ang tanaw sa Philippines
internationally.

In my 80% of my career i've been working on mostly NGO supporting conservation, I developed softwares for coastal municipalities for recording the Coastal activities for free thru the NGO. For me this is another way of presenting our planet to avoid illegal activities para ma appreciate sa mga people.

thanks.
