Yup, been there for a week for training, makes you want to vote for Lee Kuan Yew (former PM of Singapore) for President here, nice kaayo ilang transportation, ang subway nila, clean and fast, you go anywhere from Singapore and barato ra sad! sus naa unta dinhi sa cebu, maski LRT nalang, people there are really disciplined, I mean dili gyud sila molabay ug garbage bisan asa, ambot wala gyud ko kita ug gatapok na garbage dd2 dayon daghan sad kaayo ug trees! mao tingali clean kaayo ang place, smells nice too
And klaro kaayo ilang city planning kay ang ilang residential places naa man sa outskirts sa city...basta nindot i model na city

singapore is a nice place to visit.. it is clean, people are disciplined as what most who visited here would say, a model multi-cultural city. but staying here has its disadvantage also... too many laws to follow, a very hectic work schedule for those working here and a very high standard of living and schooling(which is very demanding to the kids).....

here it is very common to see ladies in their late 30s or early 40s to be pregnant (which is the exact opposite there in rp). one thing you need to remember when you visit singapore... most food here are very SPICY!!! took me the whole year to adjust to the spiciness of the food here. one thing good though is the variety of food, peranakan, indonesian, chinese, japanese and indian food are very abundant.. singaporean lifestyle, you tend not to cook in the house, since food is cheap, might as well eat out day in and day out. |

I love Singapore. It's very clean and green. I'm jealous of the big trees they have along their roads. Over here, only the cacia trees at UP can match.
I am also very impressed with their multi-culturality. When waiting for the train, I couldn't help but notice that the group on my right was speaking in Chinese, on my other side - people were talking in English, and at my back - Indian (Tamil?). Singaporeans have a huge advantage when it comes to languages. They can set up businesses in China and over in the West without having to deal with language differences though some Singaporeans I know say they can't understand the Chinese spoken by mainland Chinese. |
