Anyway, the island is great and hopefully the thread starter can post some pics before describing the place exaggeratedly.

yeah, i've been here in this place it's really a nice island lots of fishes because it has a fish sanctuary and you don't need to use any scuba stuff just to see corals or beatifull fishes all you need is goggles and snorkle. This island don't have cottages nor hotels or rooms and even eletricity. This is definitely a virgin island, NO store in the island you must bring your own foods and drinks. For me this is not Good for you and your partner to come in this island for it's really inconvenient you must go together with your Barkada to feel the adventure.

How can you go to this ISLAND:

from cebu to Hilungos Leyte= 500 per person
pakyaw bus to matalum = maybe 60 pesos (not sure)
then pakyaw pumboat = depende sabot average mga 2,500- 3k

yup naa na CR but mind you, kung daghan tawo.. mag line mo.. it's a public one.. but then again, i heard they opened the rooms for rent na daw so that should have its own CR...

canigao is such a very nice place..nice jud ang beach.d jud kaau ko hilig og beach but when went to canigao, ambot sugod pag abot namo hangtud pag uli namo naa japon ko sa tubig ga langoylangoy..d ko nahan hapit mo uli..i really love it.ang tubig mangamay jud oi.i would recommend canigao to everybody..if balik ko dha cebu, i will definitely go back to canigao..

sorry wajud cr lang didto. but ila naman to gi develop pag adto nako last march 09. then naa gani to gitukod na rooms kay develop nila for tourists.

didto ko ang nakapait lang kay ang corals,luoy na..hapit na to mo atras padung sa lawd.got the chance to snorkel and saw black tip sharks pud..pretty amazing..for the island lotta things to improve pa, hugaw naman trash was everywhere but overall i still had fun..here's a sunset pic. enjoy
