hello sa tanan! i'm new here and i'm from alcoy..and tingko beach is indeed one of it's pride...too bad, i don't know how to post a pic here and i only got one available na photo ra jud sa place...the rest is kami man gud ga swimming but there's the clear waters in the background...for those interested, there's no entrance fee to the place coz it's actually a public beach..pero if you wanna spend a night there, you can bring along a tent or you can rent one of the local cottages there...barato lang man ang mga rates so it's really worth it!!! hope to see you guys there...

my grandparents house is a 10 mins drive from Tingko, and it is indeed a nice beach. we've camped on the shores before and its totally safe.

i've been to many beaches in my lifetime....

i've swam a lot of those and played at some others...

but i say Tingco is my favorite...

it's been our group's agreement to spend Holy Week in Alcoy...and we've been doing it

the beach is so nice, white sand, though not a wide shoreline, but it's very enticing...

a couple of steps from the shoreline will get you a waist-deep water already...

you can actually see the submerged part of yourself from above! amazing!

and also, there are no rocks in the water, pure and simple white sand...

another plus side is no entrance fee, no cottage to pay, all you need to have is a mat or blanket or a tent...

and one more thing, despite it being a public beach, it is CLEAN.....GUARANTEED

it's so easy to get there...if you got your own vehicle, just drive south around 90+ kms from cebu city..alcoy is four towns away from carcar, kanang town sa south na naay rotunda..when you reach alcoy, you can just drive til the end of the town and you'll see a wide strip of white sand public beach..you can also ask the locals where tingko is and you're sure not to get lost...if mag commute ka, just take the ceres bus bound for bato via oslob and tell the conductor to drop you at tingko beach in daanglungsod, alcoy...the moment you step out of the bus and cross the street, you'll see a glimpse of this paradise..that's how easy it is to get there..
