Microtel Inn & Suites Mactan in Lapu-Lapu City, Mactan Island, Cebu, Philippines

wala pa ko ka try... same ra ang owner sa ako company... guess who....

nice gyud ang microtel... infact sa tanang franchise... mao ni ang the largest... mas daghan iya rooms available... i think muguwa karon ang article sa microtel sa lifestyle page sa sunstar....
the concept is minimalist... so don't expect bold colors but white and ivory and some highlights...
additional pa ang red basket chair courtesy of the genius kenneth cobonpue ..... basta try nalang mo ... hope to go there SOOONNNN......

have not actually stayed but i was able to check them out.

i went to reception to inquire about rates. their desk staff were pre-occupied but a roving member of staff saw me and asked if he could help me out. so i was able to get the rates plus was able to check out the rooms.

for the rates, the rooms are worth it for a family (say, parents with two kids) or a barkada of four since the rooms we saw had two double beds plus the usual stuff (cupboards, dresser, bathroom etc). the color scheme 9white with yellow and light green) is not my personal preference though.

the staff are courteous and very helpful.

i assume the food will be good because their kitchen is handled by the guys from abaca (next door).

note that microtel is not a luxury hotel but the way they did the mactan one is quite satisfactory. i've stayed at the baguio one and must say the cebu one is a better rendition (to be fair, baguio is a couple of years old already, but same with staff, they are courteous and helpful).

mahal ilang rates kung PhP 500.00 day use, no food...
it would be cheaper to go to white sands or even tambuli/cebu beach club...

Sincerely appreciate on your reply..Yes i know, Microtel is not a luxury hotel, (3or 4 star)..But the photos looks good though. besides, i dont have any other choice since other hotels and resorts are fully booked due to the holiday season.

Do you happen to check out the beach and the pool?

didn't go in the water but the beach and pool area look very nice. if we decide to do lunch or dinner there, i'll let you know how it goes. we know the food and service of abaca so i expect it will be just as good, tho i understand the menu will be different.
