boracay is an overprice beach although i still want to go there

when it comes to beaches bantayan can be compared to boracay ( accdg to a prend who has been in both places ) , but don't go to bantayan during jellyfishess season around july kay u will swim besides jellyfishess gyud

bantayan....a place where you wanna get away from the city (well, just one of the places though)

boracay....a place as if you never left the city... only with an additional ambiance of those powdery-white sand, crystal blue waters & palm trees....

jellyfish season starts around mid-May in bantayan island, and it still swarms though july. i was stung by a jellyfish once while me & my friends were strolling along the shoreline. lisud kaau kay we were still far from sta fe beach club (where we stayed). so to remedy the awful stinging, my female friend peed on my leg but it didn't work. we bought vinegar from the nearby store and poured some just to control the pain.

so don't mind going to bantayan island at the middle of May-July. best time to go, February-April.

haven't been to either place.. but i can vouch (based on my friends feedback) that bantayan is indeed more preferable than boracay. that is if your cost conscious!

anybody who can suggest an itinerary for a weekend vacation in bantayan? i'm bringing a number of friends there sometime this august.

will be taking the last hagnaya boat for sta. fe (saturday).
will hit the sta fe beaches but stay at bantayan proper.
will leave bantayan island on the last sta.fe boat on monday. that's at 2pm, right?

suggest mo an itinerary beh. where to go? where to eat? all i could think of are the beaches... any other place to visit there? at what time is it best to visit that particular place, etc...

will really appreciate your suggestion.

Visit Richmond Resort. Get plenty of wasay-wasay for your seafood salad. Bantayan full lechon is very delicious --- very similar to spring chicken in texture. Do not hesitate to get the help of locals.
