if you like sun, sand, fun and people around, Boracay is the place.

Bantayan Island better than Boracay in some ways?

way back 1980's when i first visited Boracay, it was just a plain white-sand island, with lots of palm trees, no electricity and salty drinking water.
But when i got back in the 90's i was surprised how much the island had changed! it was swarming with tourists and there were already lots of bars and establishments all over the island. Now i heard there are already buildings! :8O:
Bantayan Island on the other hand is just like Boracay 20 years ago.
But then there's no match for Boracay's sugary white sand and crystal waters.

Ignore Abat, surely he only see a single dot about Bantayan Island. How he compared Bantayan ISland to Boracay of 20 years ago where their is no electricity in Boracay.Bantayan today has cell site, cable TV, wired by 5 telephone companies, internet..and the best of all, the beaches are still not so exploited by tourist or holiday goers. Or likely Abat was staying in one of those slum area or a secluded barrio in the island and he didnt explore much the real beauty on the island. My final advice, if u want people go SM, if u want close to nature, go to the beach. Good luck on ur next holiday.

oops.
im sorry but it was just way back 1996 when i last visited Bantayan Island and I loved the place! what I meant was Bantayan now is as fresh as Boracay years ago when the place (Boracay) was not yet developed. I was disappointed to know that they developed Boracay so much that it became such a commercial place that it has lost it's island's innocence. I just hope Bantayan would retain its natural beauty and not be consumed with too much commercialism.

Maybe i'll go to Bantayan one of these days and visit my relatives there.

BORACAY gihapon ko oi! Bahala na mas dako ug gasto, it's worth it! all the babes.. ahhh.. the white sand beach that feels like powder beneath my feet... the plankton that glows like blue worms at night.. sus! the delicious american style food! the fashionable ensembles.. sus i can go on and on about this place!

Malapascua, sus kita pa lang mo sa mga tuyom, murag di na ka ganahan mudive! dagko gyud kau! Pero mas clear gyud ang water diri. No permanent electrical supply! I cannot stay long in here!
