hi bro, im the one who made another thread about my psu problem nga murag pareha ta na experience sa HECwinpower550. after about 9months of using that power supply nga wala ra problema, nikalit lang cya mag cge ug click or tick nga sound usually when playing 3d games or when loading, nag start na cya kato nagdula ko ug crysis. i thought speakers gkan ang sound, then hardisk, then fans, pero after checking it well, ang power supply diay ang gatingog. gikan to nako sa pcbodega in manila gipalit. i sent it back explaining my problem to them, i also informed them about my specs and the programs i am running, nakagasto ko ug 500 back and forth delivery, and i thought ila ilisdan ug new. instead ila raman gibalik unya mu insist sila nga ok ra coz gi test daw nila for one day. problem is dili pud 8800gts ila gamit which is the card i am using coz wala daw sila on stock.
i also tested the power supply with another pc nga integrated grafix ra, dili mugawas ang problem. the problem would then arise when i put in the 8800gts. i asked ryan of arctech about this and i said there are two possibilities, its either my 8800gts is causing the psu to click and tick, or its the psu which has the problem nga dili niya mapa-run properly if 8800gts ang nakataod when it is supposed to handle the job with ease because daghan man pud diri gagamit ug hec550 for 8800gts. sir ryan's reply was 99% psu problem jud daw.
gikapuyan naman ko ug hulat for replacement unya 2weeks nagud ko wala kagamit ako computer. nipalit nalang judko ug silverstone st56f para mu andar napud ako pc. and thankfully, ok na ako pc, no more ticks and clicks with the new psu.
