Default HOW TO FORMAT...

mga bro,

Naa ko spare na HDD 20gig pero windows can only detect 8gig.... probably because murag before LINUX ang gamit ani or UNIX...

Unsaon mn nako pag format ani? Para marecover nako ang totat na 20gig niya?

Please help.... tnx

well i guess... the drive is not defective its just that Windows doesnt recognize the current partition on the drive.

just format it lang...

windows XP:
Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management

click on "disk management"

select the drive you want to format... (BE CAREFUL as you may select your primary hd)
from there you can repartition and format

i have tried it na..Computer management.... i can format and install windows on this drive.. i can make it a slave to other working PC but... the size is 8gig instead of 20gig...

Try using Partition Magic na utility software bro. Easy to use lang. Maybe naa siya unallocated na space.

korek ka jan!
if dli madala
use seatools for seagate hdd
use maxtor utility if maxtor hdd

my conclusion ngano na 8gig na..ang jumper settings sa imo HARDDSIK, basin na butang nimo sa limit capacity to 8gig.try to check bro..

bai naa ra pud sa youtube..step by step para d ka mag libug..

pwd sad ni..startmenu > control panel > performance and maintenance > administrative tools > computer management > storage > disk management > then click on any drive u want to format..
