Calling all enthusiasts? Over at tipid PC.net they have what they call a 50% overclockers club. http://tipidpc.com/viewtopic.php?tid=50918

I think istorya should have one. And monthly we can have a tally on who stays on top and I can give a price from ARCtech.
If there are more than 20 who agree then I will come up with the specs

To validate the OC there will be a small gathering of overclockers and there will be judges for the top 10 OC of istorya and CEBU!

Each person can only have one entry per processor/system per category, this would be the highest OC. If Category A and Category B have the same OC value, then that of "B" will be deleted.

take the risk, hunger for that extra ghz.. push your system beyond its normal speed..

i really wanted to learn overclocking, but hadlok lang. basin mokalit lang ug aso akong cpu..

anyway, asa man naay motudlo about overclocking? i've been to different short term courses about PC troubleshooting and PC basics yet wala gyud nitudlo maski isa about overclocking.

Well there is a section here where there is a guide to overclocking there. Post your systems specs there and will do our best to help you out.
Important lang gyud sa OC:
Good Mobo.
Branded PSU (HEC, Enermax, etc..)
Good Cooling both on the system and on the CPU itself.
Good Overclockable Memory (with good cooling also via heatspreader etc..)

If you have all of that then you are set to go.

If you dont have all of that, dont worry, post your specs and will see how to go about it

heatspreader lang ba ang available for cooling memory modules? How hot can it get d.i? any idea other istoryans? wa pa man gud ko kita'g monitoring service for memory modules. hehe.. I'm using geil which has a stock heatspreader..

you can only push your processor up to a point... my x2 4200, runs stable at 2530, beyond that, unstable na. and its only 15% overclock... kung magpropose ka nga magsige tag push of overclocking sa atong mga parts, then mangaguba atong pc ana... hehehe
