IDE as primary and SATA as slave

mga bro naa ko sata 160g mo hung naman basin defective na. kay ge try naku ug format unya install OS winxp dugay ka load ang os or usahay d jed ka load unya ang applications such as games mo hung na try sad naku uninstall ang games mao japon.
naa man ko IDE ako nalang unta himoon ug primary para adto naku ibutang ang OS. pwede ba?

btw... naa ba any jumper imung sata nad ide drive?

you can set the ide drive to master mode and the sata drive to slave.

but....i also notice sa mga latest sata drives karon wala nay jumpers

pwede kaau na kay separate mana sila connection, sa bios rana magdaug kinsa imo i boot first...

Are you sure ang problem kay ang imong 160GB sata? did you check some hardware parts like RAM, mobo, vc and even psu?? kay para ma sure jud nimo nga naay prob imong hdd na sata if its seagate use seatool para ma bal-an jud nimo for sure guba.

bitaw, try to run diagnostics sa imo sata hd.. seatools as yugi recommended.. mao pud na ako gamit if duda ko sa ako seagate HDs..

actually, would be better to make use of SATA as ure primary. SATA works faster than IDE, so OS boot time would be a bit faster than having to boot from IDE.

daghan causes sa hang ups or lags, like memory or heat problems. u can start from the very easy step like cleaning the comp, literally this time (abog and loose connections).

@ts better if imo i isolate ang imo problem just use the other ide hd and dont use the sata one if it goes right then try changing sa cables sa imo sata hd nya gamita if problem still persists then imo sata HD ang sure guba. ayaw pag hasul2x kay basin di diay na mao imo real problem.
