vertical ra bro but some mods needed to take out some load from the mobo..probably a suspending bracket made of plexiglass attached to outside of the fan and fix to the top of the chassis with some rubber grommets.

Im not sure of plexi glass would be a good idea as a support since it might shift some of the pressure "upwards" maybe some other strong yet flexible material that can hold the weight but not push the heatsink "upwards"

What i did on my cousin's rig is that we bought a longer bolt screw, and we sanded the closed part on the mounting bracket so like a "bolt through" effect, the length of the bolt goes about 4-5mm over the mobo tray and there we placed another mounting bracket (Tuniq 120) and theres a little nut on the mobo tray for even added support.

Correction then, I was misinformed by Asus. I guess what she probably meant was new sample release and not really new release.

And the Rig goes to the office and will be used for the whole year for all events Then after that, it mite make it to me but by then, this will be old and 35nm will be out and 5xxxx series sa ati.. Ill enjoy it while it lasts, because by then we will have Ultimate rigs 2010!!

@earlz: point taken, funny thing is usually people just use a lower card for physx but in our case we will be using the higher card, o well, mau man ilang ipadala.

The GTX285 inst technically a "lower" card since it is better than the GTX295 GPU wise with 1GB Memory,512bit memory bus and faster clocks. The GTX295 will be faster if it runs in quad SLI though.

@earlz: Let me elaborate further what I meant:
In terms of SLI, because I was talking about SLI MODE, it's funny that I have the 285's on SLI instead of the 295. and I am using the way more expensive, newer card just for physx.

But of course we will also be running individual single card tests. But the triple card setup will be what the rigs will sport during the tour.

I was also talking about the GTX285 in sli, its better than the GTX295.

edit:

The GTX295 is already running in SLI internally, the GTX295 is basically 2x GTX260's w/ 240SP running in SLI.

I dont see anything funny / wrong in that setup, since the GTX285's are faster.

No, your using a cheaper and older card, the GTX285 is 19k each making it 38k for SLI, the GTX295 is only under 25k. Technically the GTX295 is the older card since it came out first before the GTX285.

Just wanted you to have the correct information, since this is for a road show anyway.
