@Shine
WOW!!!

Those monitors sure are expensive.... would you know where to source the Active DP-DVI connector here in the Philippines?

Another question...

Is it possible to mix different resolutions with Eyefinity? (e.g. 22" - 24" - 22")
I already have a 22"(Samsung 2232GW) and a 24" (Dell 2405). If I were to get another 22" (Samsung-DP), would I need to set the 24" to run at 1680x1050 or will it be possible to run at independent resolutions?

THANKS THANKS!

A few pics under Eyefinity...

@vipvip68, The rig was setup in Eyefinity using an active DP-to-DVI adaptor, all my monitors have DVI inputs.

These are the only connectors that will allow triple DVI setup to work through the DP port. If you have a monitor with DP inputs them you would not need this cable.

Here is a list of monitors that have Display Port inputs:

DELL 2408WFP (24" 1920x1200) S-PVA - $449
DELL 2709WFP (27" 1920x1200) S-PVA - $789
DELL 3008WFP (30" 2560x1600) S-IPS - $1699
DELL P2210 (22" 1680x1050) TN - $199.95
DELL P2010H (20" 1600x900) TN - $250
DELL P2310H (23" 1920x1080) TN - $209.95
DELL U2410 (24" 1920x1200) S-IPS - $599

Eizo CG242W (24.1" 1920×1200) S-IPS - $2200-2400ish
Eizo CG243W (24.1" 1920x1200) S-PVA - $
Eizo EV2313W (23" 1920x1080) TN - $
Eizo EV2333W (23" 1920x1080) S-PVA - $560

HP LP2275W (22" 1680x1050) S-PVA - $425
HP LP2475W (24" 1920x1200) S-IPS - $569
HP L2480ZX (24" 1920x1200) S-IPS - $1999

Lenovo L2440X (24" 1920x1200) TN + LED backlight - $425

NEC MultiSync EA231WMI-BK (23" 1920x1080) IPS - $379

(mini-displayport)

Apple 24" 1920x1200 H-IPS - $899.95

You are right, since the new cards are DirectX 11 Windows XP can only handle DX9 and DX10.

@vipvip68, thank you and the rest for the complements.

Unfortunately I do not know where to get that cable in the PI but I know their are a few post mentioning it. I'm sure the rest of the gang here will fill you in.

As far as I know Eyefinity can only run on three monitors with identical resolutions...

Three 22" = 5040x1050

Three 24" = 5760x1200

Three 30" = 7680x1600

The monitors don't have to be the same brand but you may encounter some color matching issues between them. Before I picked up the other two monitors I was running 19"-24"-19" plus my 46" HD LCD on a Sapphire 4850x2 with quad DVI outputs and that worked fine but no Eyefinity gaming.

ATI are still working on updates so I'll keep my ears open and fill you in later.

Wow. Thanks for the swift reply. Just the answer I was looking for.

So you mean to say that Ill be able to drive the 3 displays independently but eyefinity will be disabled?

When enabling eyefinity, does it treat all three displays as one? or does it treat each monitor separately like it would if you had something like Dual-View with the extra monitor spanning?

I hope Dell comes out with cheaper 24" TN monitors soon with displayport built in.
Im not really particular about the PVA or IPS panels since it's just for peripheral vision during games.

Btw, pwede ba 3 x 24" monitors pero naka flip by 90 degrees?

So its 3x 1200x1920 which is 3600x1920?

Importante man sad gud ang up and down view especially kung FPS. hehe
