Default How to Remove RAM Heatspreader

Well I really need to replace my stock heatspreader since it doesn't cool enough my RAMS.

I have been having problems with stability of my RAMS and just recently concluded that this issue is a result of Heat.
Well I found that out when I maxed out my top exhaust fan my RAM seems to Run very stable tested in Prime 95 for 5 mins. However my top exhaust fan when maxed out is extremely noisy that it is unbearable. If I don't max out my top fan these RAMS are prone to instability issues due to heat like blue screen.

I have Crucial Ballistix DDR2 1066 4x1 gig. And I'm planning to install HR-07 from thermalright to cool down my RAM for good. All you guys there just an FYI crucial Ballistix 16fd5 really are prone to overheating even the stock heatspreaders can't cool down these RAMS.
One option for me is to install just an ANTEC spot cooler.

Removing the heatspreaders is really tricky since it involves cutting out the sticky thermal paste. Some suggest heating up the RAMS first then removing the thermal tape using a cutter.

So anybody here tried removing their Heatspreaders?

inside your Crucial Ballistix DDR2-1066 16FD5 are dual sided 512Mbit Micron D9GMH ICs. there are motherboards that run into trouble when u double the amount of memory banks it is addressing(by filling all the ram slots w/ dual sided rams)...that's one of the reasons why the new revision of the same memory(8FE5) as yours are going single sided. try kuno using 2 sticks lang...or bump the voltage up to 2.1V kung stable ba sya...if u think its heat then go for the OCZ Memory Cooler...got mine for 1.8k from a TipidPC supplier...hope this helps...

Heat jud to cya bro nasakpan na nako.

Kato OCZ mem cooler fan rman to cya same ra sa Antec spot cooler. OCZ is a little bit fancy. But I would really want to use the thermalright HR-07 although its such a hastle removing the ramsinks but this is the best cooling solution for rams out there in the market. Well I'll try to attempt removing ramsinks first if makaya ba ang risk. Hehehe.
