.. yes. i learned this from a friend. I'm not sure if this is accurate but this is the scenario between employer and agency, this is sort of a flowchart:

- worker needs overseas job
- worker submits credentials to agency
- agency looks for best job for worker
- agency finds a job for worker
- agency submits credentials to employer
- employer likes the worker and agreed to hire the worker
- agency informs worker of good news
- employer calls the worker for final interview
- agency then process the working visa of worker
- worker then gets deployed .....


.. an agency who collects a placement fee is a poor agency. an agency who instill the salary-deduction scheme is a poor agency. these are a no-no. if your agency is like this, decline your application asap.

.. as kharen just said, employers usually give a *referral bonus/fee* to the agency for every employee deployed. And it's usually one month salary.

.. coz the only expense an employee will have are for the medical exam and authentication of documents. Sadly, there are agencies that capitalize on some employees ignorance with the process.

... yes, you MUST check with POEA the validity and authenticity of your agency to avoid illegal recruitment.
