Default USJ-R-CICCT bags Championship on two Big ICT-Tech Events

The College of Information, Computer and Communications Technology came out glorious by bagging two of the most prestigious annual Information and Computer Technology Competitions. First was the Cebu Business Month ICT Tech Challenge 06 which was held on June 23, 2006, fielding only one team, as opposed to several teams in other schools. Team members Candy Bitongga, Jeralyn Empleo and Keith Amodia bested the other teams by being consistently on the lead in the three round competitions. Preparation, team effort, and the guidance of their coaches Mrs. Lorna Miro and Engr. Dionis Padilla were the critical factors that made them emerge champions.

On the other hand, the COMDDAP Battle of the Titans held on June 24, 2006, at the Trade Hall of SM Cebu, was another ICT competition but of a different twist. Teams were composed of students and teachers. For the USJ-R-CICCT team, faculty members Engr. Dionis Padilla and Mr. Ricky Bandalan took part in this competition, together with students Allan Ramirez, Carla Cordovez and Earl Ivan Amante. Other than having teachers in the team, this tech competition involved a mixture of practical activities like pc-building with Technical trivial and non-trivial content. After three days of intense competition (June 22-24), Team USJ-R defeated UC (University of Cebu), leading by a huge margin.

Bagging these two competitions proves that USJ-R- CICCT has what it takes to be the Best.
