Are You A Medical Transcriptionist Looking For A Job?

Hi,

A group of doctors in the U.S. is asking me to recruit trained medical transcriptionists with experience to work here in Cebu. They are not hiring yet but wish to get an idea of the capabilities and expectations of the Cebuano transcriptionists.

Can anyone tell me what the going rate is for a medical transcriptionist's salary? I heard payment is on a per line basis (25 centavos per line?) paid on 15/30

How many lines per hour can an average transcriptionist produce? How many hours per day can a transcriptionist work?

A good MT has average rate of 15k - 20k per month with 98% accuracy.

Payment is per line basis but if the accuracy is lesser than what is needed by client they will not pay the file.

Average MT can transcribed 300-500 lines per day.

Keep mo posted of the development coz I know a lot of trained MT's here in Cebu. I can refer them to you.

when you say 15k to 20k is that home based or working for a company?

If it's salary from a company, can you pls tell me what company?

As far as I know the friends that I have that work for transcription companies are earning less than 8k per month.

One company I worked for before which is located in IT park, 8.5k base pay + 1.5k allowance ang starting (including the 2 months training period) plus all the other benefits of course like health card etc.

Total work hours per day was 6.25...paid ang 1hour lunch break and .75h na pee break (or wee-wee break)

They give additional if you go above your quota (am not sure if 500 lines ba to at 98% accuracy)

Internal pod ang hiring for Med Editors and other higher positions though am not sure if pila pod ang increase. This was like 3 years ago coz I was part of the first batch, but stayed only for 6 months).

Hi, I would like to know from you if unsa na mga MT companies ang naay nindot na pay. I'm not asking how much but if you try to compare, asa kaha ang mu stand out?

Actually, padung nako training na PGOSI...and Ive heard mostly negative feedbacks jud about sa company especially the salary and management. I want to know more about MT companies here in Cebu. Please?
