Celtics have to pass through the East (HEAT) and Lakers must pass through the West (OKC). The season hasn't been started yet. There are lot of factors may affect throughout the season. Injuries, chemistry, rotation, dramas, etc. Pipedream finals matchup are not my take. I like the chances of Celtics but I'll take it one game at a time.

Here's all you need to know about Celtics sign-and-trade acquisition Courtney Lee before this NBA season begins: He took less money to play in Boston, and he doesn't care whether he starts or comes off the bench.

"I had a lot of different offers from a lot of different teams, but the one I really wanted to come to was Boston," Lee said Thursday from the Boston Children's Museum, where the Celtics held their Summer Soiree to benefit the Shamrock Foundation. "So, I spoke to my agent and I spoke to my family. It was a decision that I had to take less money to come here, but in that I'll be winning, I'll have a chance to play on TV. That's what everybody wants to do. They want to win big and a chance to win a ring, so it was a no-brainer for me."

Still, when asked if he preferred starting to backing up Bradley upon his return from surgery on both shoulders, Lee said all the right things while not giving up too much outside of the fact he and Celtics coach Doc Rivers have already discussed his role "in details" over dinner multiple times.

"I just want to win," said Lee. "I'm not the coach, so whatever Doc feels will help the team it's his decision, so I'm just going to go out there and just play. [Coming off the bench] is the same as starting a game. You've got a job and a role to go out there and fulfill, and you've just got to be a professional and handle that."

Nicknamed "The Hardwood Houdini" for his creative passing skills. He led the NBA in assts for 7 straight years if im not mistaken and pioneered the PG play.. A little bit of fan trivia, he was actually chosen by the Tri City Blackhawks with the 3rd pick overall and Red Auerbach didnt want this guy playing for the Celtics however after Tri City disbanded the Celtics lost a coin toss and thus Red didnt have any option but to draft him.. He won his 1st NBA Championship right after the Celtics were able to acquire William Felton Russell and the rest was history..

why does it take danny ainge to let go of 7 players just to get kg & 5 players plus draft picks to get courtney lee while the fakers get pau gasol for scrubs and gave up bynum & 1 pick for howard?

Let's keep out in our thread to talk about trade deals on Lakers, bro. They have to impact their chemistry at urgency first with Steve Nash & DH12 in their new team and it's offensive/defensive system under their wing of Mike Brown.

And to answer your question, I don't know what conspiracy behind their GM (Mitch) to get those blockbuster deals in which the team whose being transacted gets a lose one. Only Lakers, Denver & Philly got the fair deal. Magic FO are worst. Their young new GM waits for longer and rejects Rockets & Brooklyn deals which is fair to me. Otis Smith looks like a god in that trade scenario done by current Magic's GM. It's like saying from Mitch, "I give the Orlando Magic the reason to tank so bad." hehe (courtesy of Batum's statement on Navarro's low blow punch)
