Kobe or MJ?
THE GAME OF MY LIFE By Bill Velasco The Philippine Star 04/21/2007 The Los Angeles Lakers earned valuable playoff real estate near the rear in the Western Conference, taking the seventh seed. With all the injuries this season, the Showtime gang has needed Herculean efforts from Kobe Bryant to stay in the NBA playoffs. Meanwhile, the Chicago Tribune has reported that Bryant and Michael Jordan have become good buddies off the court. Amazingly enough, they have managed to cool off the competitive fires that had them in each other’s jerseys when Jordan was still playing. One of the topics they seem to debate about is which of them faced tougher defenses. http://www.philstar.com/philstar/NEWS200704211603.htm |

with his relentless scoring abilities, kobe might outscore jordan game after game and season after season. but jordan's maturity and leadership qualities is way above kobe's. kobe will be entering his 12th season having 3 titles working as a shadow for shaquille o'neal while jordan also had 3 enternig his 12th season but he was the one who led the bulls.

Kobe is one of the finest to ever play the game of basketball. Many are comparing him to jordan but MJ is MJ, period. They both have their own strength and weaknesses. This debate can be endless and no one holds the answer bcoz they existed on a different basketball era. But to ask if Kobe can be successful on Jordan's era? Definitely. NBA rules today are different compared to Jordan's playing years. And in my opinion, it's more difficult to score points today bcoz zone defense is now applied in the NBA. You cannot play zone during Jordan's era or you'll be slapped with a technical for illegal defense rule. So if you know what I'm talking about, you'll be amazed how Kobe can score 50+ pts in 4 straight games with the zone defense so active and the frequent double/triple teaming on him. I have 2 words... AWE-SOME!

yeah, the advantage of mj those days is that. wala pa ang zone defense. dili pariha karon na maru na ug dili na makumpyansaan ang mga bench kay nanay madz skills. hehehe pero murag dili sad mag silbi cguro ang zone, kay mj is consistent. pusa pusa gyud. unya i think kobe will be successful sa mj era.

mj? whether it's zone defense or not... he can find ways to cut your heart out.
ka remember mo kadto playoff series nila sa Pistonsa mga 1990's? diba na overcome rajud nila pag last diba>... so it means that he's a very tough player... kobe is not like that, he don't even have that leadership like jordan... mas brutal pato sauna mga players oi kay bisag grabe na pag ka intentional ang mga fouls, kay wala ghapon mga fouls or suspensions g tawag, diba? |

unsay buaya? perteng buayaha... hehehe, bitaw i respect him as a great individual player but... i questioned his leadership as a team... pareho gud atong si stepon marbury pa ang naa sa suns nga wa jud asenso, but steve nash came and energized the whole suns team...
jordan, nash, bird, magic, isiah thomas, bill russel... they're such the best warriors of all time... best leaders |
