Default Comic book drawing club/Comics movement here in Cebu!

Besides SuKoLmo, is there another comic book drawing club here in
Cebu that are friendly to hobbyists or old people like me (I'm 34)?

I want to learn how to draw but it's boring learning alone. Mas maayo
kung naa dyud classes or mentoring.

Default He's not really a teacher then

Hi MrBiddle,

I guess he's not really a teacher, isn't he? A teacher should inspire
students to greatness. In fact, a teacher should want his students to
surpass him in his mastery of the art.

Take for example, Whilce Portacio. He taught many Filipinos how to
draw and in my opinion, some of his students' works surpass his.

But is he complaining? Is he asking to be repaid? No, I think Whilce is
happy that he has bought Pinoy talent to the US and now they're
being appreciated there more than they are here.

Naa kaha Cebuano equivalent ni Whilce?

cmontoya: do you have any finished comic that you might want to show us?

i've got friends in manila who are so much into comics that (a) built a comic bookstore empire, (b) writers, editors, publishers of local comic books. I can try hooking you up with these guys.

also, maybe you'd like to try your hand in animation?

bai,

self study would be the way to go. unless you have moolah to spend for a correspondence school. http://www.kubertsworld.com/index.asp

but you can hang around anime forums or comics forums and still get pointers and stuff from fellow members.
