Confirming my husband and I are going... and invited an old classmate of mine from the USC days:

Mirthrynn on deviantART

VERY talented guy. He said he will go. Hope he pushes through. :3

Also, will be bringing copies of the prints I gave out at ArchCon.

Great work mga ba!!! saludo ko sa inyo skills ug creativity. Mao ni ako gipangita, truly Pinoy comics. No offense meant to the great comic book illustrators but most of the 'Pinoy' superheroes we find are copies of Western superheroes (i.e. Darna looks like Wonder Woman, Captain Barbell comes from the same family of superheroes who wear their undies on top of their spandex). It might be good to keep on making superheroes that really come from our own culture. You might want to dig out stories such as Biag Ti Lamang and Hudhud ( sakto ba?) to get ideas of what real Pinoy heroes should look like. I have a few ideas in mind but I can't sketch as good as you guys do.

@paul_armand tnx for commenting sa blog and nag reply nami didto...ehehhe...actually ang Sugbo Jam kay puros one shot stories na whatever comes to mind sa mga contributing artist, no holds barred, mixnuts but rest assured Super Debil Robot Comics will be releasing a comic book series next year with local mythos in mind so stay tuned....

By the way, to @ALL support ta mo ha by making sequentials/contributions puhon next release arun mabuhi na jud ang Cebu Comic Book scene arun ibang-ga sa mga tga laing dapit dili ta pa biya sa mga taga Luzon ehheheheeheh

Wow, a whole bunch of us showed up for today's Drink and Draw, so I have to say that was a pretty unique shindig.

If the attendance becomes more and more regular, perhaps we can have monthly discussions or even demos about drawing techniques.

What do you guys think?
