The "dead" Bruce Wayne is actually a Skrull. Reliable sources say that both DC and Marvel are preparing for a massive crossover that will change both universes. Same sources said that the crossover's purpose is to "kill off" non-revenue generating characters for an eventual merger between two companies so that only characters that are "movie-able" and "videogame-able" remains. They're still currently discussing what the new comic book company would be called.

the cash cow dead?? he'll be back in a few issues. when they did with superman it was pretty hyped.. . with CNN and major papers writing about his death.. pero karon murag superheroes are dying and resurrecting here and there.. murag wala na man lami.

They're pretty much treating it like Steve Rogers's death. The more important question is "Who will take up the mantle of the bat in Bruce's absence?"

One thing that's interesting about killing characters with big supporting casts is that the space around them becomes very active once they're gone.
