Hi weebong (ngano nabali naman imo ngan), please get in touch with chikadora2009 for possible illustration work (that is if you're interested). I was trying to get in touch with you since I read her post. If you're not too busy, it'd be a good for your "other" career I think.

@JA

Gibasa nako balik akong post bay... Lagpas na man diay kaayo to. Got carried away since I thought your story draws a lot Happens to me a lot. Anywaaay...

I'm reminded of this episode from Justice League where Ra's al Ghul manipulated history, started his own happy little regime with symbols all over the place resembling that of the Schutzstaffel all over the place.

How about listening to that Kazakhstan theme from Borat? Not for the lyrics, but for the marching tune...

I gave up trying to be original a few weeks ago.

Hehehe, gave my opinion yesterday on my first day on the job that originality is relative since Mitochondrial
Adam (yeah, that first butt-naked human). It's how you uniquely combine ideas of others that makes you original-- the gestalt, if you will.

Peace.

Ah, like Boy Kiamko-Sensei used to tell me, "there's no such thing as original art. You draw inspiration from everywhere."

And there's this one fellow (whose name escapes me) who once remarked, "copy it once and it's a crime, copy twice and it's borrowing, copy it thrice and you're creating a sub-genre."

But then, Diem-san would always be quick to remind me: "If you meet buddha on the road, kill him."

@Isteb

I think it was Vandal Savage who went back in time and did that.

@ja: Get me a copy of The Mask of Manolo and sign "To my fellow perv, John Amor." I'll get it next time we meet (hopefully any Sunday this month).

@HoundedbyHeaven

I wish I could make a very Pinoy superdude but no matter what I do, I always end up with someone who looks foreign.

P.S. don't name your character Bayani...

Anyway, this next paragraph is not about superheros so you may skip it if you are so inclined.

I remember this story from my beloved Surigao about a method of settling disputes. A death match where two participants are tied to each other around the left foot. Each one is given a knife. Then they pinch each other in the goblins until one of them dies. Makes for a good one-shot comic book, don't you think?

Sure. But I doubt it'd work very well if the whole comic was entirely about that. It could be something worth developing though.

@ja: Dang, I'm supposed to stop buying toys until I get a new cam but that Pro figure sure looks fine. Hah! For once, I looked at the toy first before the real deal. I can't seem to Google for the figure itself. Please send me link you got this from John.

ei guys, magkita mo karon sunday? I have a friend from USC-TC Fine Arts Dept. Who wants to interview you. He's making a magazine about local comic book groups, project ni niya. It's not for profit though. This friend of mine is also quite skilled in drawing so maybe you can exchange some tips. He's also willing to sponsor some food and drinks (beer!) para dili pud laay ang pag-tapoktapok...

we'd also love to talk to other perverted geeks, er... comic book enthusiasts.
