I've never worked on bristol board I'd like to try sometime though, see how the pros work. I sometimes work on bondpaper, just like Suede. For my 11x17 Thor pages, I used a Corona Sketchpad that I cut to the proper dimensions. It's the most I could do. Let me know if you guys find good sources of the right paper.

Speaking of Thor sequentials, the second set may be delayed more than expected. The reason ---> Border Break

Me, John, and Santini, met earlier for lunch and coffee and did some sketches. It wasn't planned really, it was just a spur of the moment "hey let's have lunch" thing and being bored and nothing to do we bought kiddie pencils (the plastic ones that you replace the tip like tiny bullets) and did some sketching.

I posted mine at my blog but here's what I did:

Maybe this weekend if everything goes well. Bo's is actually a good place to hangout, the tables are nice, there's a lot of people (good for life sketches), and their coffee is ok.

Aha, you were the ones who hanged out with John yesterday!

Me, I drew on bristol boards a few times and gave up on these due to the price. I used super shiny, five-peso cartolina sheets before that I cut up to correct sizes myself, though I can't seem to find any now. Currently, I just draw on super shiny bondpaper for paid jobs.

Sketchpads are not for inking, they're for pencilling, colored or otherwise. The teeth of the paper's surface guarantees that the graphite will spread out and hold on for a longer time. Imagine something as fluid as ink on top of such a surface, hehehe.

Cutting paper with a cutter using a ruler is fun, especially when the blade cuts into the ruler, hahahaha!

Peace.
