Speaking of vampires, here's a few books you can try reading:

30 Days of Night
Bram Stoker's Dracula
Blood and Water
Impaler (incomplete, but hopefully will continue this year)

Those are the titles I remember. I guess some of you guys can recommend some more.

(also, sometimes I watch TV while drawing. I like some background noise)

BLADE !!

heehhehe, the 3rd one sucks though. pun intended.

@vemp

Try drawing in complete silence.. I use to do that in college, and I was able to work faster and more efficient. pero what works for me might not work for you. I find that i can concentrate better without distractions.

I get palpitations when I work in total silence.

I need the sound of people either A) getting hurt, B) having ***, or C) getting hurt while having ***.

Keeps my brain alive.

...Music works too.

Try the titles I posted. I'll try to recall and look for some more if I can.

I would suggest Bite Club from Vertigo. It was written by comics veteran Howard Chaykin, and though I'm not a fan of his art, his writing is solid.

Bite Club is like Godfather. It involves the mafia, but with a lot more ***. A lot more blood. And a lot more people having *** in the blood.
