Thanks, man. Working hard on it.

I honestly don't see what the big deal about the Fraction hoopla is. So he got a few cultural inconsistencies and inaccuracies, who cares? When we think about it, is it even really possible to be REALLY culturally accurate? Culture, by definition, is a changing dynamism. Being accurate all the time is like bottling up culture and putting it in a museum. And this is Social Science Major John talking. I don't mean to blow my own horn or anything, but I think four years of Soc-Sci classes taught me a thing or two... or three.

The term "culturally accurate" is moot.

Fraction has always been a very dynamic writer; so what if his research boat didn't have both oars in the water, the scene got the message through, didn't it? Another thing worth pointing out is that, though Fraction does in fact do extensive research, he also does take liberties that serve the story. Five Fists of Science anyone? That was a story based on Mark Twain and a buncha other "culturally significant" figures. Anyone think he could have made any of that shit up? Of course! But the foundations were based on fact. At the end of the day, I think that's all that matters.

pero I don't buy his explanation though and it's not a big deal. and just like you said, who cares.

@all: (OT) I bought a 2nd hand mega movie issue of Wizard and discovered a lot of comic book-based movies under production or planned to be made. I guess old news for most of you but for a few who don't,

1. Y: The Last Man (possible actor: Shia LaBeouf, this guy's getting a lot of breaks)

2. Punisher (Don't know who the actor is but it would be based on Garth Ennis and Tim Bradstreet's War Zone). I didn't read the comic book but vemp highly recommends the work of the duo so it must be good.

3. Wanted (I thought the title sounded familiar. Sayang no super powers.)

4. Transformers 2 (Devastator, Unicron, and The Dinobots would be on it, yohoo!)

5. Justice League, Teen Titans, Masters of the Universe (I hope it's not going to be disaster like Dolph Lundgren's movie), Street Fighter (same wish of Van Damme's), Voltron (?), Invincible, St. Rock, Captain Marvel,

6. Some animated films direct to DVD: Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow, Batman: Gotham Knight by a three Japanese animation studios, Astroboy, Battle of the Planets, Thundercats, Turok,

7. Avatar (I know ja doesn't care about Ang), Avengers, Barbarella (Oh gods, I hope it's not another disater like that 60's movie), Black Panther, Blood: The Last Vampire, The Books of Magic, Captain America, Castlevania, Conan, Deadman, Doom Patol, Dragon Ball Z (yipee!), Everquest, Ex Machina, The Flasth, Green Lantern, The Hobbit (hope it's as good despite Jackson's absence), Jonah Hex, Jurassic Park 4 (ho-hum), Magdalena (hope it's true to the comics and by that I mean plenty of t & a), Metal Gear Solid, Prince of Persia, Robotech, Ronin (Frank M's), Thor, Wonder Woman (again hopefully a lot of t & a), and many more... (kapoy na type tanan basin dili pud madayon uban)...

--- back on topic --

I saw an ad that says "Captain America Lives Again" and this time he has a gun? It looks like a Smith and Wesson pistol (don't know if 9mm or 45 cal).

The Justice League movie has been shitcanned, so don't hold your breath. A Green Arrow film set in prison is in the making though, with a script by David Goyer. Good stuff. Also, as of today, the Green Lantern film has been greenlit (heh). Hal Jordan. Not the black guy.

The Street Fighter movie will focus on Chun-Li and will star Lana Lang froim Smallville.

Dragonball will be released in April, starring Justin Chatwin as Goku.

Akira is being made, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Ghost in the Shell is being adapted by Steven Spielberg.

Jackson ain't never be absent. He's just not directing but producing. He's working very close with del Toro (or del Torro?) that many are wondering whether the latter would have as much control as he wants to be in the film. They got awesome ideas based on their replies to the 20 F.A.Q. about the "The Hobbit".

Thor
Heard they're considering Brad Pitt for the role on that character.

Probably Winter Soldier in Cap's clothes.

We're all just crazy here in the office 'bout Marvel's upcoming superhero flicks that build up to the Avengers film (by 2012?). Lot of Marvel fans I got working with me here. In fact, we're playtesting our homebrewed Marvel Super-heroes role-playing game combat system for two weekends now.

Peace.

@SUEDE: I wasn't warned. I just want to avoid being warned. Read more here

http://www.istorya.net/forums/news-a...nted-soon.html

I'm not sure if referring to another Istoryan site is considered spamming but likay na lang ko kay sayang pud ako almost 2,200 posts

According to the rules/regulations, a little OT is tolerated but it seems a lot of Istoryans abused the privilege. Case in point is the "Who wants to photograph this girl for FREE" thread in the Photography section. It started out as a nice thread and even lead to some photographers getting to shoot a woman for free but well, head over there and see what happened.

Pareha ani run, basin pati kani ako explanation nimo wala mani relationship whatsoever sa comic book drawing or comics movement diri sa Cebu, hala ko. Hala pud ka kay nangutana ka. Sa sunod, comics ra ato istoryahan ha. I'm outta here.

Hello, I decided to post this here instead of the Toy Photography thread since this is more about comics than a formal product photography shoot

I'll post the rest tomorrow. I used Tagalog because I'm also posting in the Pinoy Toy Kolektor's forum.
